Arizer Solo

maybe:lol:

taste comes down to lots of things.

Strain, temperatures, drawing speed, all effect taste.

In the Taste dept. both units function well. The solo has pretty much an all glass airpath.so there is no silicone tubing in the airpath like with the EQ which will affect taste.

Convection Vs conduction like Stu points out, that is another question and is another round of posts:D .I prefer convection vaping every time.it seems safer to roast youre herb than fry it imo.

The solo while it uses some convection ,it has has some conduction going on too.It still tastes pretty nice during the first few hits, Im hitting mine right now.there will be a better portable battery convection vape coming along. But it will need to be special to beat the performance/efficiency of the solo.

have fun with youre search.happily my search is pretty much over, but never say never:D

I don't know about the EQ, but I found with the solo, if you cap your bowl with a stainless screen, it keeps the herb off of the heat chamber, and the taste is really good up to the point you are nearly done with the load, esp. on lower settings. You can enjoy the flavor for a few hits on a lower setting, then bring it up hotter to finish the load off once it starts to taste toasted.

on a side note, I'm looking forward to the wood stems...

Good morning all, heres the video, pls let me know what ya think!

Its looking good mate!...tho I have yet to tried the solo (should arrive in few days finally)
How is the taste compared to the glass stem?

m0sh, I like the wood over the glass myself, always have. Each species will enhance the vapor IMO by adding a crisp distinct difference and even cooling the vapor slightly. I like the denser woods for this reason.

Sounds good...looking forward for it...I guess you can also attach it to a bong easily as with the glass stem, am I correct?

The only downfall I can see here is the resin gathering which I find much easier to gather with a glass stem. Actually for that reason I'd rather my stem can get a little hot...is that possible with the solo? I mean it must be lol

Got it finally!!! tried my resin from my EQ and it was awesome but I used ABV and it fell to the chamber, how do you guys keep it from falling or should it say there
I cut my EQ extra screen so it fits my solo
I was stupid enough to get burned on my lip already...lol
But I'm bound to break this glass stem...that means Ed's wood is a must for me!!!

BTW, I just packed .1g and I can sure hell put .2 ... am I wrong?

@mOsh, yes you can, although my opinion is it is better not to stuff it too much...packed loosely I always manage to get nicer hits then when it is packed

yeah filling stems half to 3/4 full works best ime. they vape more evenly and thoroughly than if you pack them right to the top. plus they usually taste better for longer at higher temps, if u fill stems all the way the stuff on top can get a little scorched lookin/tasting while stuff on bottom might still be slightly tan or green.

Hey all, I 'd like to share a fast but effective DIY solution for matching the Solo with most water glass pieces. In my case a 40$ bubbler from pippesdaddy. I am not sure if it has been mentioned before but nevertheless... I am waiting for an order of GonG adapters from PV but until then I need to use my bubbler so I used some plastic food wrap, folded it and wrapped it tightly around the straight Solo stem in multiple layers. You 'll need more for 18,8mm and less for 14,4mm.

It fits nice and airtight, I believe it can handle the not-so-high temperature at that spot and I haven't noticed any smell or taste from the plastic.

It's secure enough to hold the weight of the Solo and I can handle everything one handed. I only lift the Solo to empty the bubbler with the other hand.

I 'll shoot a vid next time I clean the bubbler... :p

Finally, for a Broke Bastards Glass Consortium's set up I believe it's very comfortable to handle, it milks great, it gives a definitely smoother hit than a Solo stem but still tasty, it bubbles a lot, it's my first glass thing and I LOVE IT...!!! :D

The Solo rocks even more now! :science:

that's cool ili. congrats on your first glass piece, vapor is so much better through bubbles imo :) i can hardly vape without my tube these days.

although, i'm assuming the joint on that bubbler is 18mm. ime, the solo stems dont fully insert into the narrower 14mm connection like you're doing with that, so more than likely your plastic wrap trick wouldnt work for 14mm.

and i'm sure you'll love your gong stem when it gets there, it's so nice having a totally solid connection between the two.

Hey, I was wondering is it safe to clean the stainless steel in the arizer solo with rubbing alcohol?

Why hasn't Ed posted this here yet? I hope it's not the Solo's fault :ko:

Anyone seen this :

Just ordered one of Ed's stems. They look great and it will be the perfect stem for when out and about, much less breakable.

You can but you want to be very careful that none gets into the holes. Best bet is to do it upside down with just a damp (not wet) q-tip.

Thanks for the post Sessnet and spreading the word! Also thanks to you all for the overwhelming support not even 24 hours into first making them available! The biz is great but you all's support means the most. I anxiously look forward to your thoughts and feelings of my work. That's whats its all about!

These should be unbreakable, only thing I can imagine that could happen to em would be dinging them on nicking the wood. The SS is what it is and should never have an issue.

Thank you so much everyone for helping to make this happen!

Hurray!

Ed's stems make the Solo like 10 time more portable. I was always scared to bring the Solo, and pass it around, to friends, because of the glass.

Now I won't be afraid to let someone use my Solo! Unless of course, they are a beaver
