Anything is possible, but such compounds are made to not degrade over time.....to do so leads to failure since they're there for a reason. And if it was slowly breaking down over time, such tastes wouldn't go away you'd think? At least not for a very long time.

I wasn't saying it was going to keep robofarting, but when thermal grease is made, there are likely some volatiles in the goop - I'm thinking they will outgas relatively fast until they're effectively gone - probably well before the 3rd 12 minute @ 7 cycle everyone recommends before use. And yes, thermistor is more likely - since I predate their widespread adoption, it's probably a forgivable slip...

just to report , the taste has almost gone and only detectable on the last few hits when the flavour of the herb has gone, will be nice when it disappears completely . Excellent vaporizer

1 session at 5-6-7
1 session at 7
and a half session (if i'm lucky) at 7

before buying it, I read that the battery lasted at least 2 to 4 hours, but my solo least less than one hour...
The model is the M1A, please assure me that i'ts normal and the 2-4 hour thing is a mith...

I get about 4 or 5 12min sessions at 5-7. Nowhere near 2 hours of use and forget 4! I'd say your unit is properly functioning. I also have an M1A.

i got the M1A too, mine lasts about a hour. i can do two sessions 30 mins each. i don't think it really lasts as long as they advertise, unless other wise your only using the lowest temperature possible, even then i doubt it. they lied to us about battery life!!

the 4 hours is probably if you left it on idle,3 hours if your gently heating pot pourri on the minimum heat setting . I haven't run mine down flat from full charge, but I estimate I would get 5-6 sessions on heating 4-5. I don't think they lied on the battery life, it is just that it is marketed with so many uses they can cover them selves.

I think we beat this one to death. Then kicked it around some more.

This is exactly normal. The maker's site says:
"High quality Lithium Ion Battery - 1 - 2 Hours of continous use!"

You can see what the guys that make it think. Somewhere along the line somebody said '2 to 4 hours', wanna guess what the guys trying to sell it to you quote? Who knows why they spelt continuous so funny, maybe they caught it from the Brits? I think they know best what to expect.

It's also been widely discussed that along the way the way the software reports the battery state changed (obviously the real condition didn't suddenly get worse....) so that it now shows 'completely discharged' (no lights lit) when there's still several sessions worth of charge left. Eventually the charge light comes back on in use to warn you before it cuts out. The idea is to charge it before it hits that wall.

Enjoy it, it's a mature product with a proven record, yours is normal it seems.

I think carbon dioxide is still being released since there is a COOH group on THC that has to be released before the THC becomes "activated". That's why you can eat abv and get the effects but can't eat uncooked MJ because it wouldn't do anything because it isn't activated

Just got a solo from PIU. Thanks to Woody for the tip for getting 1/2 inch thread caps for the stems from Menards or Home Depot for 75 cents. I also got 3/8 inch caps for the mouthpiece end, I just ran them under hot water to stretch them to fit. The trick is to only put them on halfway, and walk them off. Also, i got some liter bottle preforms with caps(ebay) for storage and protection of the straight stems, and am planning on altering them for the bent stems. The preforms are strong polycarbonate, and safe, they are the preform for the liter pop bottles. 1" x 5" . If you lose a cap (or your dog eats it) just use a pop cap.

Good tips on caps. I like the 'travel tube' idea and think it'd be cool for bent stems too. I can even see how you might heat the tube up and put a bend at the right place.......I'm a bit curious on how you're going to thread the bent stem in and out but will wait to see how it turns out.

I automatically just charge after two sessions.
The batteries will last longer if you don't discharge your unit too low!

How can you call Arizer a liar ?

They advertised about 1 - 2 hours of battery life.
And you said to having use it for 1 hour... but didn't try at Level 1 (50°C / 122°F ) with the potpourri dish to verified the 2 hours claim.

You should be able to just attach a normal drinking straw to it so it looks normal. a cup with a floppy tube coming out isn't very stealth

Anyhoo , RE ; Battery life .
It reminds me of laptops and cellphones' sales pitches .
They tell you 6 - 8 hours of battery life ,
except if you surf the net or make a phone call or text ... ie using it .
Then the battery life is decreased , sometimes as much as 50 % .

I own an M107 , I got it last July/12 .
I still get 2 to 2 1/2 hours of straight usage on the weekends . ( usually watching hockey ) .
No I don't vape for 2 straight hours , I just find it less draining on the battery to reheat up
from a cold start . So I just restart it every time I hear the beep . I use at levels 5 and 6 .
I would also recommend getting the PA for the Solo , I just prefer not using it when water vaping ,
for true portability .

Friend brought me a shatterd solo stem.
This is what I was able to do in 15 minutes (I did not clean stem 1st0
using a 99¢ store mini torch lighter.

As you can see he does not use a screen (or clean his stem often)

And now... I did the following
I broke off the sharp edges with a needlenose, and then snapped out the partition with same pliers.
I torched the edges until they glowed, then when done I stuck a Solo screen down in that stopped right at the area that diminishes in diameter.

Then...
one final torching and we have a turbo stem of sorts that functions very well!

ok that makes a lot of sense. so when your material is already vaped all the cannabinoid & trichomes are extracted, will still making edibles out of it have any effects? how much of it do you have to use to even get a effect? can that give you food poisoning & make you throw up?

It might if you don't vape at a high temperature, but it'll be so minuscule that you probably won't notice it unless you have massive quantities (like ounces). I don't think weed can give you food poisoning but then again I don't have much experience with edibles.

i'm going to do the same thing with my straight stem i broke day after cleaning it...except im going to try and cut the glass screen part off nice and neat with a dremel and then drop 2 screens down in it like that one....

i always start off at 3 then move up the temp & finish it off at 7 when i get no more vape. so does that mean the material is totally done with & i should just throw it out?
