Wow clicker you are getting great battery life. 8 or 9 to blue is amazing.

its funny tho because i thought at first my cell indicator was dropping quicker than it should. thought i may be victim of the inaccurate charge indicator. i guess its pretty standard now though. i get about 7-8 full sessions from full to blue, but can still get a couple to a few more sesssions in when at blue. that is why i thought my indicator was faulty. so am i to assume that im really pushing this puppy when forcing it to vape on blue?

i should also not that i can get even more partial sessions when not using the whole 12 mins. i can power her on, take 3 or 4 nice long pulls and shut her down in about 5 mins.

Personally when at blue I don't take the chance of messing up the battery. From what has been said it should be at about 40% when at blue but why mess it up since these batteries if go dead are a big issue from what I understand. I suppose if I was stuck out with a blue light I would do it but that is not likely to happen.

level 5 is the blue light after 4 sessions.

I charge early because i was told not to discharge too much for the health of the batteries..

When I read it I honestly that it was an insult. That person does seem alittle bit defensive to me though (thier reply to my post said something different before they edited). I'm not sure if going to a different thread would really help unless there are only like 10 people in it you will always have disagreement with someone and should get thicker skin.

As to the solos affectiveness omg I got so medicated yesterday. Never have been that high before via smoking. It was almost like I was on edibles or shrooms. Vaping is amazing and the solo is amazing
true i need thicker skin.
the solo's are great that's why i haven't switched systems for flowers.

oh and i went ahead an picked up some of those high temp silicone washers. got them from grainger.

these work better than the orings do IMHO. holds the stem very sturdy but still easy to remove and replace. they are the perfect size all around. i will never go back to using the solo w/out one. i really hated that rattle!

ive got about 15 more that i will not likely need so i am up for sharing these if anyone is interested. shoot me a PM and we can set something up.

i will let them die then and see how far they will go?
I thought the blue light on level 5 after 4 sessions was ok?

No don't do that you will mess up your battery. I was just saying you get less it seems then some of us do. I will try level 5 and see how many sessions I get to blue if you would like. I don't like 5 all that much but if it will help you I will do it.

Clicker I will PM you later or go to grainger. I like that idea.

sounds good.

note that if you go to a local grainger branch that they may need to back order the washers if they dont have them in stock. usually only takes a day though. so i would call them first so if they dont have them you can get the back order going, but not have to commute to the branch for nothing.

Hey all, -
I ordered an Arizer solo vape nearly two months ago. The serial on the bottom starts with M1A3.
It was working and charging fine until I tried to recharge it but nothing happens when I plugged it into the charger. No lights go on or anything. ( I have sound disabled) Damn these high tech devices something was bound to go wrong.
What can I do from here? I've contacted the retailer but should I try and reset the battery or just smoke pipe for now because I really miss vaping.
Thanks

Check the voltage on your Power SUpply. Maybe it died.

and BTW: all 4 of my solo's will deliver 6-9 sessions at 7. Usually around 8

All using stock battery but my oldest unit is ready for a battery upgrade.

None of my solos heat up in 20 seconds. None of my solos will even get to 2 in 20 seconds.

Hi there:
First-time poster, but I found quite a bit of helpful research here on this site before I bought an Arizer Solo last month (#M1A). Wondering if I can tap into the knowledge base to help fix intermittent charging problems.

About the third time I charged it, the unit launched into an unending beep with the low-number lights flashing fast. I unplugged it and everything shut down, then I let it sit unplugged overnight, tried again, and all charging & use was fine for a week.

Last two days the same problem has been back. It did charge normally several times (again, after a few hours idle) but now the problem is more persistent, occurring about 1/2 of the time I try to charge the unit. (I try to recharge after each use or every other use).
Have also tried holding down both power buttons with no effect.

Anything you'd suggest I can try here on the home front before contacting the company I bought it from to initiate a warranty call?
Thanks in advance for your help,
Tim

Ok people I got the glass straws and well it pretty much is a no go. This is a mixed post for the solo and the INH so don't be alarmed.

I have to go through all my stuff better but I don't think the straws will work. Firstly they are really nice but I think we will have to get the new ones that PV will eventually make the extra long ones for the solo. I thought the tea straw will work on the outside of the solo stock but it just is a smidge to small. The smoothie straw is to small for the solo hole by itself. I am not sure if silicone is ok to put on it to make it tighter or it will melt. Now the small one doesn't work on anything.

I think I may be able to use silicone to make the smoothie one work on the INH but not easily. Even the huge tea straw wont go over the bottom part of the capsule black part. I am really surprised. I am going to try and make a tight fit and will keep you posted. It needs to be air tight or almost air tight to work and also stay without holding it so some experimenting is in order.

If you all have any ideas let me know. I think they had the ID wrong on the site as well as the OD. Cause one of them should have fit one of the vapes.

On a side note I can't wait till summer and use the tea straw for my smoothies. I can get rid of the stupid according straw I use now. I might use the smoothie straw for it but love the ID of the tea straw. I make my smoothies really thick. Now if I actually used straws for anything else I would love these. I only drink water and I don't use a straw but I might start hehe.

Ru that is amazing. My does heat up fast so I guess depending on models there is a trade off. I personally like fast heating.

Tim from Boston...just had to type the whole thing. When I had that issue I just did a warranty return but I knew it would be easy cause of where I got it from. You can try holding both the up and down arrow at the same time or follow the link a bunch of posts above that shows you a fix on youtube for a different issue but it might work.

I know many of the members on FC that were early adopters of the Solo obtained the original ceramic heating element. I have read many pages of this thread, and understand the serial #'s are the way to identify which version you have. My question relates to owning one of the 'ceramic units'. I personally would prefer the newest model, & would really like to own a Solo. I know I could get it for a better deal on-line, but want to support my LHS. They don't carry many vaporizers, but do have some Solos that are m102's(I think), & are the older ceramic models so it seems.
If I buy a Solo from my LHS, can I send it to Arizer & have it swapped out for the newest model? I slightly remember there being a 're-call' on those ceramic units, & that Arizer offered to trade them out. However, I am not sure if this is true. Help me out, I want to own a Solo too! :smug:

^^^^ I think only if you have a flaking bowl will they swap with you. (When first released some bowls started flaking the coating off and Arizer gave some peeps replacement Solos and let them keep the original).
How much they want for them?
The 102 is one of the first so i wonder how the battery would be?
Could probably get it for a good price.
Also no teflon washer in the bowl but you could always add an O ring if needed.
You can get em for $160 brand new shipped now form puffit up.

Considering same model at PIU.
What are you comparing it to?
And, in what ways is it amazing?

To my previous M107.

The color has changed but after a while I like the slick look, in warms fast and the battery indicator seems to work better... I do sessions at "5" ... after 1 session the LED shows 6 ... so I imagine I can get 7 sessions for sure but I don't think I made it below "5" yet.

Aamazing...well the solo is amazing by itself.

Is that with or without cooling the Solo in between sessions?
Do you leave it on constantly?
If you leave it on constantly than yes, I guess you might get that much.
But you will not be getting that much if you cool the unit in between sessions.
This is because the last light takes a long time to die, the last bit of heat stays a long time.
So when you leave the unit on all the time it needs less power to keep its temperature, thus your battery charge lasts longer.

Sorry to be nitpicking, but you mean 33% improved battery usage time and not 33% better vapor or so...

Perhaps you can use the word more instead of better ("my solo works 33% more time now")I'm going to assume that word smith is not meant to be offensive...but I'm just trying to figure out what you mean, now what you are saying mate is bullshit (sorry)

The better battery would not give you better vapor...you are new to the solo so I guess you mastered it and perhaps with better herbs this time.

No battery can improve amount/thickness of the vapor.

I've only been a SOLO user since September 2011, so yes I'm new to them. The first one was from a smoke shop for $300 and worked well. When I told my wife about my new path of vaporizing she was cool about me buying a second one for the house. It was $160 M13A however this one was a gutless wonder?
Customer service at ARISER asked a bunch of questions and did not feel there was anything wrong with my unit. Fair enough I did not buy it directly from them so I could not expect them to support their product. I'm not claiming it's for all units just the one off I had that was less than what I had expected. On this tread a member told me to just switch the batteries between the 2 units. When I switched the batteries WOW! My new unit performed well. So the conclusion was must be the batteries? So I installed a new battery pack same Voltage and maH as to not interfere with the FIRMWARE which seems to be well written. Now both units perform very well.
Batteries are the power source.
The heating element produces the vapor. However when I tested the batteries that were changed out I found out that one of the batteries had a bad cell. This is why it was not performing to the expected level of the first SOLO unit. The design is solid for sure.
(BATTERY VENDOR ISSUE)
"LACK OF POWER"!
Vapor production is not going to be optimized without the proper power supply!
This web site help me to solve my SOLO issues.
I have two SOLO's that work amazing so I'm not hating on ARISER.
The bonus is I was forced to learn about batteries.

Kind regards,
Ataxian

First time poster, wanted to thank all for your assistance on putting a vap rig together with the Solo. Obviously I didn't ask any questions, but there's a wealth of knowledge here!

Here's the setup:
Arizer Solo
PVHEGonG 18mm
Silika mini-beaker with 18/18 downstem

Works great, here's a pic:

Hi there. I'm new here and I enjoy all the info that I've found on this site. I'm so enthused to start vaping again after abandoning my herbal Aire due to it's teflon material. So anyway I finally ordered a solo and was pumped when it got here, but even after cycling it 5 times on 7, and swabbing out with iso that beach ball / inflatable mattress chemical taste/smell is still very much there. My buddy has one and i never noticed any strange taste but is this due to his already having had plenty of herb sessions and the chemical taste is covered up? I'm sorta chemically sensitive and prefer organic/Veganic herbs and don't want to comprimise my health which was a big part of deciding on a vape in the first place.
Should I send the unit back? Did I get a bad unit? or am I just more sensitive to chemicals and should wait for the ascent with it's all glass path ? The cera? Pax?
