After my solo is done charging and I unplug it, the blue idle light stays on and I have to power it off myself, Is this normal?
Mine sometimes does that too, I wouldn't worry, just switch it off. I found a quick press on both buttons at the same time works well for shutting it off, rather than holding them down. I used to hold them down, until I started having the unit power back on, from holding them down too long. After my solo is done charging and I unplug it, the blue idle light stays on and I have to power it off myself, Is this normal?
Hi everyone,
Thanks for the welcome, so is adding a small round mesh "filter" necessary w/ the new model or only recommended? Do you guys normally pack it full (.1-.2 grams?) for a 12 min session.

Criticisms accepted. I am by no means recommending this but merely suggest that it establishes (to me anyway) portability. If that's not portable, what is?It is very portable. I use mine lften now while riding a motorcycle - put it in breast pocket, pull unit to mouth to use. Works like a charm. I never use my MFLB. I haven't used the Iolites for a couple months now. But the Solo is IMHO extremely portable. As for stealth, I guess I'd have to ask a cop what is stealthy...
Hello all,
Today I have officially joined the Solo club, just got mine in the mail and it's charging up as I type haha. I have been reading this forum for a while and I feel pretty well educated on the Solo, but when I got mine I was thrown for a loop. I know the different models for Solo (M104.M105,M106,M107,M1D, and whatever other versions), but my serial number goes M1A. Did I miss something in the forums, or is this a new version or just the same M1D with a different serial number. I'm sure there probably isn't any performance difference, I'm just curious if any others also have this M1A model. I can't wait to pack this with herb and see what all the hype is about!
I tried my buddies solo and I didnt really like the air tight feel of the suction. I could not tell if I was even inhaling until I exhaled.
So far as I know, the car adapter is just a charger. No ac passthrough there.
I have the ac adapter, and have not used it since I got it.
I get 6-8 stems (which take me 12 mins pretty much every time) per charge, which suits my needs perfectly.
I've also got a 2nd solo though, so if my batt dies I've always got another one ready to go.
Some others here have the ac adapter and love it, but for me I just can't find a use for it that is more convinient than my current usage patterns.
If it was my 1 and only vape I could see the ac adapter being a fair bit more handy.
A bit late perhaps, I almost never check this thread anymore, but don't you have a VV PSU Fred?
If so you can just make a cord with a Solo plug on it, set the PSU on 8,5V and voila, you have yourself a pass through thingie if you ever find a need for one
I have sensitive lungs, and without a screen I can literally feel the debris entering my lungs, causing coughing sessions which is bad. The only way I would not use a screen is if I were feeding the Solo through some water to filter it. As for the amount, start with a 1/2 load, see if that works. I personally use a full, sometimes even packed load at a slightly higher temp (5) and within 12 minutes or so it's done and occassionally I am too.Hi everyone,
