It is, but that's not Maui. It's Monuriki Island, Fiji.
I Should have known you would called me out!

After living in HAWAII our friend bought an Island in FIJI and this was near.

Our family bought a Island in Tahiti.

It all started in Hawaii were we grew some Flowers that would have been nice to process in a SOLO.

The SOLO reminds me of the first cordless drills.

One thing I like about the Solo too, you can leave it on the table and it doesn't look like it would be a vaporizer. It looks like some like of tool of some kind. My aunt came over one day and I forgot to put the Solo away she said, "what's that" I said it was some kind of tool my husband had left on the table. I wasn't even sure what it was? We just went on with our conversation.

That's what is so funny about it!
Both my father AND grandfather have happened to walk by it occasionally, while charging and such, they made a funny look kinda puzzled when smelling the unit from afar, but paid no attention...
I've even vaped 2-3 hits on the public bus once, to cool the chamber in order to remove stem, but it was fine, no smells that could be considered 'anti-social behavior'.
Hell even the cops stopped once to let me pass on a pedestrian crossing a while back!
Even old ladies evade my inquisitive looks, when I (rarely) vape on the street...

On top of that, in cannabis friendly environments (reggae concerts, etc) people may come round and ask: 'what's that' very intrigued... if I do it openly, but that's also rare.

Just packed a few bowls going to the beach with a blue dream type strain.
So tasty n citrusy. And very uplifting, my goodness. :)
On the pier, on the way to the pier, and on the way back from the pier, and then waiting for a taxi. lol
Super chill.

I have some beyond blue dream and I started it at the second temperature level, and wow it was so tasty and it kept producing nice vapor until I reached temperature 5.

It's been a Solo and Joda stem morning.... motivated me to finally order that Solo replacement battery (not the bogus charger I order by mistake while vaked). I'll be doing some "surgery" this week. Little phillips screwdriver at the ready. :cuss: . Is is wrong that I'm actually looking forward to changing a battery? Can't wait to do the first "super-charge" and get this bad boy to play for two hours at a clip. Right now, I don't seem to get that much longer power than an AA (maybe 1.5X), hard to say exactly. What I like about the Solo is that it seems to have a higher "volume" of heat. Maybe it's just thicker and can hold a bit more heat in the body of the vape itself, but today I don't need to be stealth, and the Solo is rocking out!!!

We wiil be here to steady your hand while your doing the procedure.
Hardest part is loosening the screws the first time. On mine they where tight or had some threadlock on them, still easy to change a battery on the Solo.

Some of mine stick too (or did). I'm not sure they're sealed as much as the normal effect of a SS screw on the Aluminum. The screw 'bites through' the protective layer on the Aluminum cutting threads allowing a chemical reaction (making oxides) possible in the threads.

I guard against repeats (and make future removals easier) but putting a bit of grease on the screw tip before replacing it. It keeps them from seizing again, and the lube helps 'tight threads'.

I'll keep that in mind, and my Solo is only a few months old and not used too much, mostly because of stealth factor. Home alone this weekend, fuck stealth! I'm tempted to take the bottom off before the new one arrives, but Otis can wait a few days. I might even grind this battery into the ground for another month or two before changing :goon:, just cause I can. Who am I kidding, that new battery will be in there within 20 minutes of the mailman dropping it off. I got the screw driver picked out already, not kidding.

That good quality screwdriver will make things much easier.
Why not have a go at opening her up, a dry run sort o speak.
Pliers/snips will not be needed.

Spot on all 3 times! This is not the time for a cheap screw driver, and it should be all the tools you need. You'll need to unlatch the cover inside, some guys use a fingernail, some a small (flat) screwdriver or knife blade. I'm a knife blade kinda guy (always have one handy somewhere) or sometimes use a wooden toothpick (for the same reasons). But that's it tool wise.

I too vote for a dry run. I'd also charge the 'old' pack to about 5 LEDs and then store it away. At reasonable temperatures you can pick up and use it years from now.

BTW, it's kinda snug inside that batter space, the connector placement is critical. There should be no tension on the cover latches so it's not pushing the cover out to bind putting the chassis back in the tube. It's worth 'messing with' some.

Enjoy the surgery.

I know I just need a phillips, I just love little mini needlenose pliers and though it would cool in the pic. Of course the only concern is what @OF pointed out earlier, the dissimilar metal binding, and then stripping out the tiny screws. I have a fireman buddy who is the "super hero" of all tools, has every tool on earth (professional contractor as well, I've built two gyms with him so far). If I had any doubt about removing those screws, I'd ask his help, but I think I can handle it. Of course, famous last words. It's just a matter of handling the tool properly and not stripping the screw heads, I can't really see any other challenge (I'll use a magnifying glass if I have to, but I don't use reading glasses, so I think I'll be ok). I'll go with a sheet rock knife blade, or something really thin to separate. Like I said, as long as there is no stripping, I'm golden. Big question is, now or later??? What would Otis do? I have to do the opposite.

Point taken on the limited space. I've done some limited electric work, and while I'm no electrician, I know how much neatness counts when it comes to wiring. I'll "mess" with this and be sure to get it right. No tension on cover latches to eliminate binding. No chassis back in the tube.

I'll charge the old one to 5 and store in my multi-functional charging case, who wouldn't?

If I'm so smart, how come I ain't rich?

I'm not so sure about that smart thing, but I say you're in the serious money when it comes to being easily fooled.......

I'm still thinking about that buying an island thing. I bet the herb laws are pretty lax in Ataxianland?

Love it.

@OF back ìn 2008/2009 you could buy anything for $.010 on the $1.00!

MMMMMMMmmm Belgian beer. Try the Duvel... 8%
Thanks for the recommendation, but 8% would kick my ass. I'm cool with the 5% range. That's actually a Brooklyn IPA, just a Palm glass. I love that shaped glass, can pour pretty aggressively without having to tilt glass and still not overflow, and it hold the head longer. The local pub I hang out at will give me glasses from time to time, and this shape work!

But the Brooklyn beers are awesome. It's a small brewery in Green Point Brooklyn. I remember when it was built, I was a firefighter in the area at the time (80's). Supposedly they use natural, organic ingredients, but at the very least, they are one of the few beers that will give up their ingredient list, no high fructose corn syrup (what's in many American beers). Great selection from IPA's to summers, to octoberfest - good stuff.

Yes 8% is strong, its more a sip and relax beer like the SOLO.
Large commercial beers are gut rot to me.
Micro breweries and home brow with my SOLO for me.
You should give the Brooklyn line up a try
Brown (my favorite in the winter)
IPA
Octoberfest
Summer Ale
Winter Ale
Lager (signature)
Pilsner (my favorite)

And, I'm a sipper, 2, 3 beers, tops...
