I usually get hybrid high on the Indica side.
This PERMA FROST is a pure Sativa and I like it!
Not before for bed however daytime for sure!
Maybe it's just the mixing it up?

I have a tendency to mix strains together to get the right result in terms of medicating...I do that with tinctures/cannabutter and in my Solo.
Nebula CBD mixed with Original Cheese was new yesterday for daytime and very clear and balanced...Purple Kush or Sensi Star at night with a little CBD product added to balance that...
But I`m mostly medicating so it`s a different approach based on that as my priority...

Still get some wonderful flavours at 2 or 3 on the Solo before going up to 4 or 5.
Last night`s Sensi Star with some Nebula CBD mixed in had a very nice citrus/almost mango flavour...so as much as I`m not savouring one pure strain at a time, I`m still not lacking for interesting flavor sensations!...

Yeah, that`s one of the great things about the Solo...I can do my first hit on 2 and get all those wonderful terpenes and then go up to 3 for a couple more really flavourful hits before going up to 4 and 5 for a more full spectrum effect.
The different temps are also very useful for tailoring your level and quality of medication. Low heats give a lighter, more heady buzz while higher temps hit the body harder...

Congratulations, I'm sure you'll be happy together.
Please be careful fitting those rings, I think you'll find they're the wrong size and can/will break the tabs off at the bottom if you screw the cap down too tightly. Those are No. 113 (9/16 ID, 3/4 OD, 3/32 width), the generally correct size for the original (older and thinner) caps, the newer, thicker caps are too tight and usually need a No. 015 ring (9/16 ID, 11/16 OD, 1/16 width). That small change in width can be fatal if ignored. Here's what the two caps look like, thin (old) on the right:
You can tell by just looking, you need to fit the rings carefully, sanding them off if needed. You want no real tension via the cap, 1/4 turn past contact at most. "Tightening the cap up until the stem is tight enough" is entirely wrong. The original intent of the rings is for them to grip the stem (via normal ID) all alone and use the cap just tight enough to grip the ring well enough to keep it from rotating with the bent stem (not compress it to improve the grip).

The other difference you didnt mention that I think matters more is that little black ring. The little black ring that fits inside the cap. The older model (2013 ? I think / I'm stoned ) is on the right. It was shorter and left room for the o-ring to sit on top which got the stem tight but made draw restrictive on stock stems, so the PVHE seemed better ( to this stoner at least )
The fucking little ring on the left is too tall and doesn't allow use of the o-ring... Arizer tried to eliminate the 0-ring.. It works ok but I like it the old way better....
I may pull mine apart and sand down that ring so it can fit an o-ring... I just got this Solo back thru warranty... I wish I would have taken my ring from my older model before I returned it... I fucking forgot about it...

I have about 43 grams of buds.
The one I love for day is Jack Frost and Animal Cookies for night.
GDP is crossed with GSC = Animal Cookies
I know what works for me!
Others will have to figure it out!
The SOLO makes it easier!

Thanks a lot for the heads up ..
Market here isnt too developed in labeling and tagging indicas and sativas .. Indicas are much more readily available here .. kept me a while to know that we also have strains that dont get you all dizzy and sleepy .. i always thought its a downside to scoring.. then i digged some contacts who could get me famous strains hybrids and sativas.. so yeah we are covered as well..

The red "o-ring" is a just a DIY thing people started doing to keep the bent stems from spinning around.
I don't think arizers design took using one into account in the least. And even though many people here add 'em to their Solos and reading this thread it seems a normal thing to do it's always been a "do this at your own risk" kind of mod and not really recommended by Arizer.

I love the 113 red seal under my SOLO cap.
I use a PHVES stem.
My stems are straight.

I installed the #113 "O" ring in each of my Solos when I got them.
Back a few years ago, I had the old style Solo with the more restricted draw.
I found even with the rings installed the draw was still easier in the newer units. I use the bent stem with EQ balloon mouthpiece extension, so it spins easily without the ring. I find it still possible to rock the stem for even more airflow if desired with the ring installed.

Same with me haha I've broken more stems than I care to admit, and stopped breaking them *mostly* after the oring addition because I would lay it down with the stem in and then pick it up and the stem launches and ends up looking like Russia's space program
