YMMV but here's my AU$0.02:
I'll email Arizer as I want to know whether it is fake or not. I am not interested in having it replaced or getting anything for free.
Never heard reliable reports of "fake" solos. At about US$145 via Massdrop to Sydney, they're probably not expensive enough to knock off. AFAIK, Arizer are widely regarded as being unusually reliable in honouring their warranty.
Incidentally, if the oven heats up when you run it at level 7 for a few minutes, it seems hard to understand why it might not be working well for you assuming you have good quality herb and inhale slowly. If the oven is getting hot, the resulting slow flow of hot air will inevitably extract the good stuff in my experience - it's just physics!
I do not feel comfortable breaking the law and posting about it on the internet.
Not something to boast about on Facebook using your real identity for sure. Use the Hola (free) plugin
http://hola.org or a VPN (about $5/month) to hide your ip address when you post and it will be impossible for the Brandesian metadata police to track your posts.
Others have said that they have returned vapes in the post here in Australia. The bottom line is that I am personally not comfortable with doing that as it is illegal to prohibited substances through our postal system.
If the unit is covered by warranty and you live in Oz, Arizer will likely ask their Oz reps at
http://www.australianvaporizers.com.au/store/ to get in touch - they'll ask you pay for postage to them and they will pay the return on the repaired or new unit - at least that's what happened to me about 18 months ago.
Don't mail used stems! Not required for warranty repairs and they tend to stink - possibly enough to attract a trained dog. If it's well used, it's not hard to clean if you're comfortable (or can find someone who likes tinkering!) taking the covers off - a few minutes with a can of compressed air will remove any residual solid ABV around the battery/circuit board compartment in the main body and some isopropyl alcohol on a lump of cotton wool will remove left over condensed material from the oven and the aluminium covers before transport. If it's not sticky, it's probably not stinky!
