I would insist on the proper power supply for the unit.'street price' should be about half that?

The red light flashes when it's turned on and heating, the green light flashes while it's charging... a solid green means charging is complete.@OvaDaBong i got it at some smoke shop here in California. Yeah i know it was rather pricey .Sorry about the pics. I know there terrible.
When i plug it into my solo it turns on the blue idle light then yellow lights 1-3 and they keep blinking. The red charging light is not turning on. Is it suppose to do this?

Paying $300 for it... ouch

So now it looks like my only choice is to buy the real charger online. Could i get one off amazon?
I dont if they an authorized arizer dealer. When i got it the guy said it was there for while. Model M1B1I get that, of course, but perhaps there's another way to look at this? That Solo is going to vape a lot of herb in it's lifetime. A hundred dollars or more saved in purchase will really only buy a couple of eights for that undertaking. Many many times that will hopefully go through those stems. As a percentage of all costs over that lifetime (initial purchase, a spare stem or two to cover breakage, maybe an Ed's stem for a treat and a big old pile of bud) the extra cost is a small fraction of the total.
Even discounting the huge savings in herb consumption Solo delivers, supporting your local HS in this way might make sense.
In the end all we can do is supply the best information we have to those looking for it, the decisions remain personal with each of us.......as it should be?
That's lame, of course, but it happens. It's definitely not the same charger anyone else reports getting. This is a legit dealer? Send the lot to Arizer, they will no doubt quickly put it right (with a new unit I bet) and deal with the LHS and BS for you. You paid top dollar, I'd insist that you got a used unit (sold as new, illegal straight up) with the wrong charger. In a way it's really Arizer's problem, their marketing chain seems to have failed?
There's still a chance that charger will do the job, what are it's output numbers, please?
Amazon doesn't carry the charger AFAIK, and the connector is non standard. Radio Shack has a model which will work with their correct adapter (B IIRC?) but it too costs $20, same as the factory unit from PIU or PV.

That Amazon unit looks legit.
this is what it does. So its ok if i order from amazon from that seller?
The problem is i did not recieve a reciept of any sort when i bought it. So i cant prove it really and they can only take my word for it as a customer. I dont know if its old or new model. The bottom reads M1B1.That Amazon unit looks legit.
Meanwhile, I would still bug the crap out of your lhs. Explaining that having to send to Arizer for warranty for a newly purchased unit seems like bad CS on their part. Not to mention that Arizer might be interested in the supply they sell with their Solos.
Might be worth an email or call to Arizer anyway explaining your situation with the name of the lhs. PDF your receipt as they will likely ask.
Also, as OF said, I can set you up for your power needs as well. If you can confirm you have an older unit, my set up could be a good alternative.
More options than the OEM accessories.
PM me once the true PA function has been confirmed if you like. I also have a 12 v supply for just charging as well.
The bottom reads M1B1.
I guess since you guys say the link of the charger on amazon is legit then am going to go ahead and order it!
Just wondering, did the battery read any power at all out of the box?Ty for the help. Am unsure about getting the amzon one as the pic looks very blurry I was looking at some chargers through ebay and i saw one that said OEM wall charger for arizer solo for $25. Would this work?
-------- trying to get a good deal since i alreadyy paid $300 bones on this.

Yes it does turn on . I held the up button and it beeped . I was able to go through levels 1-7 and when i put it on 7 the heating light turned on. Does this sound like a battery working correctly.Just wondering, did the battery read any power at all out of the box?
Hate to see you put more good money into this to find the batteries are also shot and need replacing. Something really sounds fishy with this unit and it's background. Generally, you should have had at least a couple lights of battery power as they come with a partial storage charge.
Again, Arizer knows the manufacturing date from that M1B number on the bottom. The unit might be still under warranty from that information only. The battery warranty is not that long though. Or have that lhs charge it for you? That still bugs me that they could treat you like that.
Good luck, however you proceed.
Sorry, this whole transaction sounds bogus. I was in retail. How do these clowns expect you to prove when you bought it, if you did send it to Arizer? Sometimes small stores only have one of an item in stock, so a replacement may be difficult; but any reputable dealer gives you a reciept. The problem is i did not recieve a reciept of any sort when i bought it. So i cant prove it really and they can only take my word for it as a customer.

On another matter: If any of you Solo owners also have an EQ(or V Tower), I have another use for your Solo straight stem. I found with a few minor modifications it can be used with the EQ instead of your elbow and whip. Just slide a grommet or "o" ring down to the shoulder where the bowl is. This will seal the EQ cyclone bowl' so air will be drawn from the heater. I also removed the screen from the EQ cyclone bowl and put it underneath, so as to not interfere with the end of the Solo stem. In addition a piece of tubing with was added so that the EQ balloon mouthpiece can be used. This gives you an easy way to fill balloons, although I just prefer the way it draws. A screen between the tubing and balloon mouthpiece gives clog free airflow. I use it on 446F.
It works so well, it is just incredible. And no batteries to charge/worry about.
I believe Ddave did a similar thing with an SSV wand and shorter cyclone bowl. If you have both Solo and EQ, you will need no additional parts, except an "o" ring or grommet.
On the upside though. If this does turn out to be the older model with the ability to effectively bypass the battery, it is very sought after and extremely rare in "new" condition, assuming it does work correctly. It was the only one in stock. I know i should have done more searching for a better offer but since it was so close and i had boughten from here before. I trusted them and all i see was that they had a pax, vape gorilla, mflb, g-pen, posters that say they are reputable dealer. Funny cause the guy recommended the pax but it does not really interest me as much as the solo.
Curious what was the price on the Pax?
If you bought your vaporizer and didn't receive a receipt for your transaction? Then you have a problem. You have no proof of sale? Always get a receipt. I don't know if you have any leg to stand on sorta speak. If you spend $300 on something and you don't request for a receipt it's buyer beware. Sorry for your difficulty. Good luck. You live and learn. The problem is i did not recieve a reciept of any sort when i bought it. So i cant prove it really and they can only take my word for it as a customer. I've seen you use this "outlook" a lot and it works for some... maybe even the majority, but not for everyone. Many users grow their own or are provided herbs for free or low cost. Some turn to MMJ because of their high prescription costs and grow free medicine instead. Cannabis is used across all demographics and income levels and there is too many variables to simply tell every user, "you will save money with your new vaporizer to make up the cost."I get that, of course, but perhaps there's another way to look at this? That Solo is going to vape a lot of herb in it's lifetime. A hundred dollars or more saved in purchase will really only buy a couple of eights for that undertaking.
