m106. 2-3years daily usage. worked till this morning, when turned on it heated for a minute before not working. and i just recieved jodas custom glass a few days ago.

Are you willing to open it up and disconnect the battery?

If you do and the power adapter still has no effect when you plug it in; I would sadly have to declare it a dead solo. I know no revival techniques for a solo that dead... Yet!

no, it fails to charge, turn on, or use with the pa connected. just blinks blue light then 7th level light over and over. well the battery was close to dead so it might be the problem?

@exit u mean i have to get a new solo dead?

Sounds like you got good use out of your Solo.2 -3 yrs of daily use is awesome. It sounds like you get to buy a new Solo. Did you say if you have a PA?
It could be your heater though.

I know nothing about about the mechanics of vapes. Just thinking out loud.:2c:

Good luck with everything. Nice to hear how long lasting the Solo is.:leaf::peace:

does the same thing with the battery disconnected and pa connected. so i guess i have to get a new solo.

Unfortunately that does seem the case.

Unfortunately, the new design did away with the connectors on the oven, you can no longer swap your older (more desirable?) oven over to a fresh chassis........

Still, it's a tool and tools that get used get worn out.

I hope your next Solo is at least as satisfactory as the old one.

regarding the "off mid cycle" my 2 year old arizer (run maybe 200-300 hours) turns off from time to time when reaching the heat I set. So i turn my arizer on, put it on heat-6 and when it's just above 5 it turns off itself (like after 5-6 minutes).

according to some posts above theres rumors that arizer has something up its sleeve.

edit- but like others are saying still only rumors.

I haven't heard any confirmation of that on this thread. Just rumors.:hmm:

Sounds like battery to me. How is the charge life? How many sessions per charge?

The battery pack has a protection PCB which will protect the weaker cell in the pack by shutting down even though the total (from both cells) is still OK with the Solo.

Well, one could choose to cut and splice and solder and seal and ... well, maybe that sucks.
Is the older oven truly better?
My not yet a month-used stainless oven is shiny clean although I've iso soaked three stems.
Such a delight to watch the hot honey-resin roll slowly as I tip the hot stem at session's end.

Pretty bad If I remember right, always wanted to replace the battery as I felt it was bad from the start, because I read something like a 4 hour recharging time to 100% while mine was full after 1,5-2 hours (and empty even quicker).

How many sessions per charge, I'd say 7 sessions going from heatlevel 3 to 5/6 within a session

The stainless one is fine and the ceramic one isn't worth making a big deal about because it's only in a very small percentage of the very first models and was phased out pretty quickly for stainless steel. The vast majority of solos out there are steel bowls and they're fine.

7 sessions isn't too bad for an aged solo. Granted I can get probably 7 cycles out of one of my older ones and maybe a couple more out of my newest model (recently given away to a friend) but I start at heat level 6 and stay at 6 99% of the time.

So, last night, I get home from work, and I am cutting a bunch of strawberries. So am in in my kitchen and it smells like my neighbors are cooking something interesting downstairs or something. I start smelling it more and more and it smells good, so I start following my nose to where the smell was originating from, and realized, I had set my solo on a GonG to warm up, and it was cooking my herb for a session on the kitchen table! :)

Still got me high once I vaped it, though. But not too much vapor came out...

It appears I have some short term memory deficits even before I use cannabis! I figured I would let it warm up for a minute, take a puff, cut a few more strawberries, take another puff...

HA!

Too many variables in such a 'measure'. You and I could get double (or half) the sessions on the same Solo that way.

Rather I suggest:
Fully charge the battery, run back to back sessions on step 7 standing up with no stem in still air. No 'human induced' variables. It's best if you did this when new for a baseline, but having done this test a lot on many Solos under various states I think a good guideline is 'a session per light', that is 8 sessions before you get to no battery lights showing on start up.

By the book, once your capacity is down about 25% (to say 6 such test sessions) you're on borrowed time. The battery is on the downhill slide and probably only has a few dozen cycles left before there will be no question that there's serious trouble.

Yep, and guys whine about the 12 minute shutdown. Without it how many would find there stash baked to death in a Solo with dead batteries? Or worse. Shows to go ya you can't please 'em all.

You are definitely going something wrong!!! What the hell were you thinking???
Let us know when you hit dry 6...
My goodness you are correct!

I'm doing it all wrong?
I can't go over 4?
What a light weight I must be?
My flowers are pretty awesome.
Hope your taking care of your health with a SOLO treatment device regardless if I do it wrong!
Mendocino Purps, or Mendo Purps, or even just The Purps, comes out of Mendocino County in Northern California. Winning one of the Top Ten slots in High Times' Strains of the Year in 2007, Mendocino Purps began as a clone-only plant, but BC Bud Depot developed a stable cross to make The Purps seeds available. This cannabis strain grows well both in and outdoors. It can grow 3-4 feet at harvest indoors and 6-8 feet outdoors. Flowering time for this strain is 8-9 weeks. It has medium-thick leaves and green hues that turn more purple as the plant ripens. The taste has been likened to a caramel coffee and woodsy pine.
This stuff is available near @OF !
