have any of you tried using the solo stock stem as a one hitter? vaporization over combustion any day but I'm just wondering how this would work out if my Solo was out of order lmao

You mean using the stem heated up with herb? I had to read it over before I understood. Probably best to buy something like a MFLB for a back up or something else similar. I've heard folks talk about the Vapor Genie it's only $60.

Like pack the stem and smoke it using a lighter. It would work but you'd have to clean it...

It could be done but I would definitely just buy a one hitter. Cleaning a solo stem back to working order after combustion seems like more pain than its worth. I have a hard enough time getting mine to be completely resin free just from vaping

I used the straight stem as a bowl for my bong once so i figure you can use it as a one hitter. Using it as a bowl worked perfectly. The only bad things were that the bowls ran out quickly and the stem got hot after a bit so it was a little tricky grabbing it so I could clear the bong.

Planetvape really needs to get some help with the PVHES stems and gongs, glass blowers needed. They are loosing money. Customers are waiting to buy. Why isn't there another company that sells these sought after glass pieces? Are there folks willing to take on the task as a new business venture?

Funny enough yesterday I was feeling curious and did exactly that. I'm not use to one hitters and such horizontal bowls with no carbs so I ended up dropping bits of herb and ash everywhere and stinking up a solo stem.

@Belgianvapor unfortunately my experiment was cut short, but I saw what I expected. The tube built up with reclaim which was easy to extract. I just put some drops of ISO into the tube, held both ends with two fingers, and shook for a bit. Everything dissolved cleanly into the ISO alcohol which was nice. I decided to try something I read on here about a different way of applying oil to cotton to vape, you dissolve the oil in alcohol/ethanol and let the cotton absorb it. I carefully dripped the ISO onto a small 100% organic clean cotton ball piece, and it dispersed itself very well. I let it dry for a few days and then vaped it. It was actually a really nice treat 
I did try a different configuration afterwards. I inserted a dropper with a wider dropper end and pushed a screen through up to the top. The screen went in to make sure no debris can make it in. Anyways the screen laying against the inside of the dropper made little pockets where the oil collected

i'm having a bit of a problem but i'm not sure if the issue is with the battery or the device. for the past week i've noticed that the solo's charge light comes on much quicker but when i plug it in the bars show that it still has a bunch of power. now it wont hold the temperature and if it gets to where i want it to be it cools down as soon as i inhale, i was able to hit a few times by waiting but then the temp just drops and the charge light comes back on.
i've had my unit for just over 2 years and i love it, its my daily driver and i just want to know if i need a new battery or a new solo,

yeah, i thought about it overnight and decided to just get a new unit but i guess i've missed the pv deal that was going on, does anyone know of any other site doing a similar deal? ideally another canadian company but us will work too.
otherwise i might just look at a new battery, although the ones suggested seem to be on back order.
smoking joints just seems so wasteful and using the bong is really unpleasant, i want to get back to the good life asap.

This sounds promising! I'm still getting to know my solo so I'll wait with the experiments for a while.
I did my first reclaim a few days ago (made chocolate milk) and it knocked me and my wife on our asses for
a good part of the day. I truly underestimated the power of reclaim to say the least !

PLanetvape solo deal is still on, 142CAD. Or 160CAD with a bunch of stuff.
But if everything is right exept the battery, you might just save $. Puffitup has an oem pack sold at 20USD. Or pimp your solo like a lot did with centizen high capacity packs. Tranquility of mind. I suggest that because the newer models have a slightly increased airflow with bigger holes in the crucible.

i'm interested in the centizen batteries but they're on back order. i'm not sure its the battery but if i bought a new unit i'd be able to swap out batteries and know for sure, otherwise i could spend the money at puffitup but with shipping i'm not sure that its worth the gamble when i'm not completely sure that this is what the problem is.

the planetvape code is working again so i grabbed a new solo, will be interesting to what changes i notice compared to the m107. imagine i'll have this by the weekend at the latest. happy 420!

after my pinnacle pro failing me from smelting itself and the inability to hold atleast a good charge of battery for a couple of sessions i decided to get a solo when i really should have got one in the first place when i was deciding between the 2!
cant wait to be tokeing on this with the car charger does it power on while plugged in the car charger im wondering? my pinnacle pro wouldnt operate but only charge when plugged in the car,
any other worthwhile tips for use? this is a very long thread dont think i could read thru 1000 pages hah

If you get the newer model Solo that charges when in use , you will be able to use and charge at the same time with the car charger. My car charger, I notice blows a fuse easy. Like if I have it plugged in and I turn the car on. The fuse is easily fixed, I found some at Radio Shack.
