Arizer Solo II

@Serial_Vapist
I use mine 99% of the time with a bubbler at home.
I use the arizer adapter and the bubbler is from DHgate. Inexpensive and functional.
I actually use this piece with all my vapes.

I can get ample vapor from the Solo2 with this set up.

Hi @I’m Ron burgundy....I noticed in your pics, you had two diff temps. I run mine at 400 all the time. Am I missing something by not adjusting temps during a session? Just curious is all...

Thanks Ron, that's a nice looking setup. It looks like there are 3 variations of this over at Dhgate ranging from just $9 up to $40. Some slight variations, not sure how much differently they perform, but it looks like it'd be a great one to consider.

Thanks man
It’s called the D020 I think.

You get different effects at different temps.
I would suggest to Experiment with it. I usually start at 388 then move to 399 and end at 411.
But sometimes I run a whole bowl at 428 :science:

At this point I only have two, my old Pinnacle hydro tube, which works great, and a shorty hydro stem from Puff It Up which I never use because I get too much water in my mouth from it.

You're putting too much water in it......obviously. Fill it then blow out as much water as you can through the upper trap (blow in the bowl end). I even shake mine a bit as I'm blowing it out (over the sink). That should give you enough to barely cover the small holes in the lower trap when you invert it again (the level will go up when the water between the tubes shifts as you hit it.

My favorite way to use a WT is to use the short plastic tipped stem, which fits a standard female 14mm GonG fitting on lots of WTs.

BTW, you're spot on about Solo, a truly great vape indeed.

Thanks OF, yeah I wondered about that, the stem has a very clear line around it which I assumed meant that it was the recommended waterline to fill it to. I can put less water in it of course, I just wonder at that point if the low volume of water is having the same effect on moistening the vapor that a higher volume bubbler or even my Pinnacle hydro has (which gives great hits) Nonetheless I will try the shortie again with barely enough water to cover the holes as you suggest, thanks

You’ll love it
If you don’t have one already I’d suggest the Arizer wpa to pair with it.

Or, as I just said on the Air II thread, perhaps the plastic tipped stems which fit 14mm female GonGs like they were designed to do it. And also work well without the WT.

Personal call?

I'm thinking of grabbing a solo 2 over the holidays, is the ariser 14 mm adapter good or should I grab another brand?

How would you all compare the solo to the mighty for use in a water bubbler?

Good call on the vape, you're sure to like it? Some prefer the Arizer WPA (and it fits all Solo and Air models, not ArG0), some of us prefer the plastic topped stems for the Air (which fit Solo of course). They seal well (some of us might say better in that it's not a glass on glass connection that can 'stick') and the stems work just fine in their original role (stealth). They're a bit cheaper as well.

Your call. But you could even try both for not a lot of money.......

Holiday regards to all, much to be thankful for.

I was just finishing a bowl with my Solo II when I read your post. It's a fantastic vaporizer for all the reasons the experts here have said.

I do have a water adapter but haven't used it once! ...and I know squat about water hook-ups. Haven't done it with my Mighty either. But a friend uses her Solo II hooked up to a bubbler most of the time and she loves the set up; says it works perfectly. I'll take her word for it.

If you choose to grab one, enjoy. Solid unit.

Loving Solo 2 with the stock long stem. Now that I'm honing in on the reverse dome screen, I hesitate to try no screen / loose pack, but I know the versatility of these vapes make many scenarios possible. Having a lot of fun rotating through the 3 Arizer portables.

All this Arizer love has me really thinking about the EQ for black Friday, even though I've never been able to commit to a desk top. From those of you who've used an EQ as well as Solo 2, what can I expect to be blown away by or disappointed with?

I own the Eq but not crazy about it.....you have to warm it up (heat soak it) material is always unevenly burned unlike a portable unit.....long draws are a must. I have the DDave mods which are nice I just am not crazy about the unit but I guess for a session vape it's nice but I'm a micro doser and don't want to wait all day for a toke!

I guess I'm a micro doser as well - typically loading under .1, but I can easily stretch that out for 10 to 15 minutes. I load as light as I can and still get quality performance. With Arizer portables, I like to run 15 minute sessions. I do one or two of these, normally, then take a break or get back to whatever it was I'm doing.

Yesterday was an Argo day, today I'm flying Solo.

It's the season for sales. Those interested in a new Solo II might check out out our friends (and long time supporters of this Forum), PIU. They are offering Solo II with a couple of extra black stems and a grinder (nice one, too) for $170 shipped. Lots of other great values, too:

Last night I ordered a backup Solo II and a SS Vap Cap (about $200 total), they have already shipped!!!

Regards to all.

I too was going to order back up stuff, but with Air 2, Argo, and Solo 2, I'm backed up with Arizer products. All perform, and I'll never be without an Arizer session vape. I also have an old SBJ (black out), and of course my line up to cover all bases. I'm covered on all fronts, so much so that I didn't make a purchase today, with many, many *almosts*.
