I tried out the new Solo 3 all day yesterday and can say: Wow.
Apparently I burned my old Solo 3 a lot.
You can see it on my bong... while before there were quite a lot of yellow deposits after 3-4 pulls, it's different now.
Even though I've used it several times throughout the day, my bong looks pretty clean.

I've had my bong for 3-4 months and have cleaned it 2-3x since lol - been using my solo 3 I got a few months back. its fcking awesome

What surprises me in the photo is that there is some green to be seen with the new Solo 3...
In real life you can't see any green at all... Somehow the camera brightened it up a bit.
I think the ABV looks perfect...Mostly used in level 4

Nice! I had one of those from DHgate, around $40 so that's a fair deal for sure, and it is useful dry actually really great, while it also works with a variety of water levels (I used to like putting in just enough for the vapor to face plant into the water from the little too slit inline perc and then be otherwise dry path)

I've never found one of these, so what I did was break the glass screen, clean it with the dremel and put a ss screen

Can someone tell me how the fast extraction of Solo 3 compares to slower extraction devices like Air Max in terms of potency? Does the high last, or you must vape every 30 minutes?
I have seen videos on YouTube where they finished XL stems in 4 puffs, and I'm not sure that I like this. The session of Air Max is 10-15 minutes for me.
Most importantly, I want something that keeps me high for at least an hour. Also, I'm vaping three times per week, so my tolerance level is low.

After three month daily use, i figured out that my way to go are one and done rips with the solo 3.
I fill the short/ standard stem with a small amount of medium ground bud (maybe 0,05-0,1g), so it barely covers the bottom and rip it in on demand mode at temp setting 4 or 5 through my 500ml bong with one massive cloud.
Doing so, you get complete extraction of your herb.
I‘d recommend to fill the bud very loose, not pressed.
Since everything i vape goes through water, my solo 3 is used upsidedown exclusively. This way i don’t have to mind bud inside the heating chamber.
If one prefers to vape dry, with the Solo upright, cover the stem with the screen that comes along with the device.

And this way, do you have a high that lasts, or do you have to vape every 10 minutes? Also, where do I attach the screen, at the bottom where the holes are or at the top of the bud?

I do it two times an hour. But my tolerance level is quite high, since i‘m a daily user for 20+ years.
Place the screen over the herb in order to cover the stem, so your herbs can’t fall into your heating chamber.

You can still have nice long sessions with the S3. You might have to turn the temperature down appropriately to not extract too quickly but you should be able to replicate your experience with the Air Max no problem. Finishing an XL bowl in 4 draws is a bit extreme but maybe it's possible. You don't have to vape this way though.
Edit: If you use the S3 upside down, on a j-hook or a water piece, you won't have to worry about flower falling into the heater and it will keep things much cleaner. If you are using the stems with glass holes however, I suggest putting a screen on top of the glass screen to prevent the holes from getting clogged as they clog easily. I use hi-flow mesh screened WPAs (try SneakyPete) to avoid glass screens altogether and get better airflow.

The S3 just wants the input voltage to be <= 5V. It's written right on the charging port of the device. All USB-A to USB-C cables will work because USB-A is limited to 5V by definition so any power supply that has a USB-A port will only deliver 5V from that port.
A USB-C to USB-C cable can also work IF the power supply never tries to deliver more than 5V to the S3.

You made me courious, with your question how long the buzz is buzzing. So i had to proof it for the sake of us all!
I did one hit, as i recommended. After 1 1/2 h, i still feel the effect. If you‘ve got a lower tolerance then me, you should definitely notice a valid buzz for more than one hour.
One thing, i forgot to mention, is to pre heat your empty stem/wpa befor filling it.
I do that on temp level 5 for 15 sec.

Haha, it's not such a weird question, mate. I have always had a very long high from weed when I smoked it, lasting 3-4 hours, with 4 puffs! This is due to the good quality and my low tolerance and that's how I'm used to it.
