Arizer Solo 3

I’ve been using the water pipe adapter with dosing caps for on the go. I found that the caps reserve the flavor more with a lot of cloud production. However, once the caps are done, I’ve been just throwing them out. It does hurt because the caps are reusable but for the price of just the convenience of it, how potent the vapor is, it’s worth it for on the go. Packing the stem’s with just flower on the go is a hassle as the solo 3 benefits with some space between the heater and the stem. Tamping harder out and about especially when the stem is really hot. The reason why I don’t keep the caps with away is because it’s just took hot to put it in a plastic tube. It’ll melt the tube. Overall this vape is good enough to be an on the go portable if you don’t mind carrying a little extra in your pockets.

Hi!
I have watched sneaky petes Review and now im really confused. You should use on demand Mode if you like to Do little Breaks between your puffs? Or is it the Session Mode?
Thanks!

Just got mine a few days ago, so still learning and playing around with all the settings, but I've found this thing is so versatile it's incredible. To answer your question, you can use session mode or on demand mode and take little breaks between hits, but that's somewhat subjective to what you mean by little breaks. Do you mean little breaks as in 10 seconds, 30 seconds, a couple minutes, 10 minutes, etc? If we're talking seconds, or a minute or so, Session mode is great - just fire it up and hit on it for 5-10 minutes depending on temp, taking hits at your leisure. If we're talking a couple minutes or longer, On Demand mode is great - run an on demand heat up, take a hit or a few hits until the latent heat is used up, then you can come back to the vape when you're ready to have another go.

One thing I've seen a few ppl saying is that on-demand mode isn't true on-demand because of the latent heat the oven holds. While I agree that's definitely true when the draw timer is set to 10-15 seconds, I've set my draw time to 5 seconds which is pretty damn close to a true on demand experience, I get one good rip followed by a second light hit that clears the latent heat. I can't wait to keep playing with this thing, I'm starting at the low end of heat levels and draw times on demand, then gonna try out more lower temp sessions, then moving on to higher temps, longer draw times on demand, etc

By your definition, it is true on demand if you are willing to withdraw the stem from the Solo body once you are finished with your session. In this use case, I have no problem capping the stem with the included silicone caps and placing it in it's aroma tube as I don't believe the hot stem will melt the aroma tube (hasn't come close yet anyway).

Or, once you're finished, take the stem out and blow into the oven for a good 10 seconds or so. Reinsert stem and you'll notice no vapour if you draw from it.

I hadnt thought about pulling the stem, but that sounds like it would work too!! Honestly though with a 5 second draw time it's not necessary, 2 hits uses up the heat sufficently so pulling the stem would be redundant extra work. When I get to testing out higher temps and longer draw times bet I'll try pulling the stem based on some vids I've seen

I pull it out sometimes on water if higher temp on demand full bowl I cannot hit anymore yet want to clear, however it is pretty tricky with the tiny hot WPA (would need a handle to something ideally) also it is easier with my XL WPA for me as my regular WPA still fits super snug and tight actually

That’s such a waste.
The reason why I don’t keep the caps with away is because it’s just took hot to put it in a plastic tube. It’ll melt the tube.
There are metal cap tubes or do what I do dump the used caps in a large concentrate silicone container. Mine hold like 10 caps.

Ok well I'm using the regular solo 2 tubes straw packed then tamped with some blackberry herb and I'm getting amazing hits at 156 then to finish off the bowl step it up to 162 - 168 and the vapour is very impressive tasty, and thick so no need to go any higher on session mode. After that the flav change is significant the pleasant taste and any terps are all gone.

Try starting little lower too if you haven't

Tip: I like to pack the bowl loosely, so I use a metal basket screen to keep the herb from falling into the bottom of the oven. I don't like using metal screens, so I have ordered a 14mm J-Hook for less than $10 (on Ali). This will allow me to use the Solo 3 upside down, preventing the herb from falling...

Find it interesting that members haven’t mention the high quality build on this newly designed Solo 3. The fit and finish appears flawless on its all metal, very solid enclosure.

OT Wouldn’t be surprised if Arizer announced the release of another totally redesigned portable this year. A slightly larger Argo version with additional functions, using the new Solo 3 hybrid heater tech and maintaining the removable battery feature. It would be a welcome addition and a logical evolution to the aging Argo.

Wouldn’t expect it to match the battery life and overall total performance of the Solo 3 due to the dual 21700 batteries versus a single 18650. Still, it could be a very potent performer in a smaller, pocketable handheld. Wallet ready!

This is the way... I'm sure a basic one would work fine, I have so many nice hooks that are a bit more involved, though very effective (many are 18.8 mm so an adapter is needed)

I thought I did originally?? Anyway totally agree, very nice fit and finish! Stepped up

I just loaded half a bowl (0.25g stem) on 185c (session mode) and pulled hard once ready. The entire bowl combusted and 20% of it fell into the oven. Like this room stinks now and the AVB was really black like it's been combusted through a bong bowl.... What did i do wrong?

Back to dabbing for now, have family coming over later... But holy shit I hope that never happens again.

Also do you guys have a tiny sticker below your SOLO 3 USB-C port that says 'typ: Solo 2'

Sounds like your weed fell out of your tube into the oven . If your weed is dry, it 's hard to keep it up there . Get a cap screen or a smaller screen to keep your herb in place. If you fill your stems loose and use a screen the draw resistance is minimal.

Hey All,

I think the Solo 3 has become my favorite session vape. I've been using it lately with a Cocobolo stem from Ed's TnT and then using a 14mm glass reducer in a 18mm dimpled glass pipe. Ed's stem with a screen makes it even more open than the 5 hole XL stem and that's already great.

The vapor is so cool and tasty. I'm always amazed at how the taste lasts right to the very end. The ABV is consistently fluffy and a nice, even, brown sugar color.

I don't know if it gets any better than this for session mode so I'll move on to more testing in on-demand mode. Super happy with my purchase so far.

I have just gotten my solo 3 a couple of days ago - I like the vapor and the ease of cleaning -but man the buttons are bonkers - it takes me forever to turn it on or off or get to the menu settings - the buttons don't work as smoothly as I would have expected and the top gets really quite hot

OMG very bad first experience, the device arrived i unboxed and few hours later decided to give it i try this is my first time with arizer, well i may pack it to much but i felt allot of resistant when trying to smoke it>>>>Before that I made I think a mistake >> i put inside the oven the round screen that came with it there's 2 of them i used 1

At the beginning i try put it in and out with no problem, then i try my first bowl and as i say was not getting enough air and the smoke was not clowdi, also and that i did not like was i had that tikel tikel all over my mouth that vape was very spicy strange

So i stop it all and i will go try ask my mobile phone repair men to see if he can get that screen out of the oven i try hitting it hard in the back and nothing i try with the spoon that came with it and no grrrrr So far nothing good to say!! Hope it comes because of the metal screen and that's the reason of bad smoke

Having the screen in the bottom of the oven won't cause a blockage, I've tried and and the airflow is about the same with or without it. If its too restrictive to inhale it sounds like you packed too much in the tube. If you pack it tightly the restriction is due to the pack. You should load it more loosely, make sure there's a gap (check the manual they have some instructions about loading) and make sure to just give it a very light tamp so the herbs do not fall out, but do not pack tightly. Give it a try, let us know if that works better for you. There are also a few videos on youtube that show the "straw method" for loading which may help you learn the best way to get a light pack instead of too tight. Lee's tabletop bong channel has some good videos about Solo3

Whoop-whoop! S3 should be landing this week and I’m more than a little excited, y’all! Ready to put the new Arizer heater through its paces and see what it can do, and experience the other improvements. If the build quality is still tank-like and the flavour is top notch like the Solo2 plus the capability for on-demand hits, I’ll be one happy bus driver!

I manage this morning to get the screen out of the oven will try tonight without it and report back

Ty so far i am very disappointed as i say last night i gave it a first try and was a real mess, tonight i will try it again see if things get better >>>
Ty for recommending me was the YouTube videos I have went through all of them in the past 3 months I know how to fill a bowl and the 2 con works same as S3 and never gave me bad smoke, but i will try again tonight

1 As i say i don't like the spicy flavor i got last night
2 I don't like sucking on the tube i found the diameter very large, feels like a garden host on my mouth
3 I found that the air resistant is much more then my End Game 2con wish is also glass tube and the smoke and taste is much better than the S3 so far

Cross fingers will start my honeymoon with S3 tonight so far, more hade than honey

1 Question do you guys get that tickle spicy taste on your mouth while vaping on the S3? I smoke same weed with the 2 con and don't have that issue

1. I'm not sure what this spicy flavor is, I certainly don't get it, is it your herb?
2. Really, I don't think they are that big, the 3dxl stems are almost twice as long
3. I can't comment on this as I've never tried 2con

I think the arizer boasts great flavor, and I've been grabbing it over my TM2. Not to say the TM2 isn't good, that thing rocks, but dries me out fast, where the Solo III does not.

Good luck.
