@OF - you mentioned the Solo II does a better job in vapor production, but how much better? is it really noticeable ? I kinda doubt that.

Really? I sure don't recall that.....off hand I can't see how that could be true I'd call out Solo II over a generic 'Solo/Air'. I think all the Solos and Airs I've used are basically the same ovenwise (that is heat the stem the same, and make vapor the same as others at the same temperature) since I don't force the draw like some are fond of 'restricted draw' is really not a factor in my routine.

Above I did say:
FWIW I'm sensing a difference between ArGo and Solo/Air. I think it 'starts up' slower? It might be my imagination of course, anyone else notice this? TIA

Is that what you're talking about? If not, perhaps you could point me to the place I said such a thing, maybe that will jog my memory......

TIA

Oh I see...someone asked which one is more powerful, when I read that, I believe the question is which one provides a more powerful high rather than which one has more battery power, but I guess I'm wrong?

Got another session in yesterday...or a few sessions! ;) Too high to post haha

I am really loving this thing so far. IMO it is right on par with the hopper in terms of portability. Once you cap the stem, the smell is really minimal. I walked around with it yesterday in NYC with temps around 20 degrees and it still worked like a charm. Those of you that do have the hopper know it does not work well in the cold especially with time between draws. The cold kills those batteries.

About to order an extra battery now as a backup, I thought it came with 2 but I was wrong.

In terms of effects, its exactly what I would expect from an Arizer product. One stem does it for me, have medium tolerance and after a full stem I am stoned.

Unit still does not get too hot to hold even on an extended session at 200+ C temps, although I dont go much higher than that. The stem itself gets insanely hot though so be careful when removing.

Love the case for it also and love being able to hold an extra stem and battery.

Overall, I am very happy with my purchase.

Thanks for that. For sure out of context somewhere along the line. My answer to that was based on "battery power". IMO the only way energy usage can be compared since Solo/Air/ArGo use as much power from the battery as they want at any point in time, they all have all they can use under the conditions we set or they shutdown because the battery needs charging.

A more powerful high? Naw. Way too subjective for me. I figure a guy loads more if that last one wasn't enough. We've got a fellow around here, well respected and trusted, that consumes a solid gram a month. Every month. An ounce would last him two years with some left over. There's another that rolls seven gram blunts. Hey, I can't even come to grips with the whole 'cloud chasers and sippers' thing.

Thanks again, sorry for any confusion I might have inadvertently added. I really like to do that on purpose you know, so I can enjoy it from the start.......

@Sh4dy15 Thx for your impressions! I especially like that you compare the ArGo with the Hopper.

18650 batteries are something else than the special Hopper batteries. I'm looking forward to it. At the moment I only see advantages with ArGo. Sooner or later, the ArGo will also be compatible with water devices. But that's not important to me personally, I'm actually well equipped with OG Brick and VapCaps for home use.
With a group, the ArGO is probably also good to use (Is there a lunrning-curve?).
I am very much looking forward to the ArGO and to reading reports here in the forum.
As soon as I can test the ArGo myself (which will probably take another 2 weeks :-(), I will report.

I'm a VapCap-Lover. And this device looks to me like a VapCap plus an heating element :-)

This would absolutely work with a group of people. There is ZERO learning curve in my opinion. It is one of the easier vapes I have used, just as simple as the OG Solo.

I love my VapCap also and will continue to use that as a quick hitter.

I agree regarding the water. The OG Solo and Hopper work fine for that currently.

In your opinion, @Sh4dy15, how does the flavor profile differ between the vapcap & the ArGo?

So of the vapes I have flavor wise I would rate them as follows from best flavor to worst:

FireFly 2 (first hit from the VapCap is on par with FF2)
VapCap
ArGo
OG Solo
Grasshopper (on higher temps, on low temps 1.5-2.5 it is on same level as Solo)

The only thing I will say is that at higher temps, even on the ArGo, the flavor does deteriorate faster as you would expect but it is pretty close to the VapCap in terms of flavor.

Edit: I just want to note that this is if you are being like really particular about the taste. Even the Hopper flavor at 4-5 range doesnt BOTHER me necessarily but its noticeably worse than the FF2 for example. If I have a really good strain like this Bubblegum Kush I just picked up, I try to use the FF2 or VapCap (will try the ArGo possibly tonight or tomorrow) because it just tastes so damn good.

@Sh4dy15 and @Kermitt -> the ArGo will work with a water pipe. See my post below

There is nothing official, but you could easily fit the ArGo stem into one of @Ratchett 's Delta3DStudios nearly universal water pipe adapters

I would suggest the medium size (small would also work, not sure about large) and just putting it on the draw end of your ArGo stem.

I would order quickly before the rest of the community finds out this is an option.

For reference, here is an Arizer Solo II stem stuffed into the small nearly universal water pipe adapter. I wouldn't suggest using it as such, but it fits.

I don't own a medium or large. But my Solo stem is fatter than your ArGo so it will, probably, most likely, should, with a little effort, maybe fit.

Or mine?
The inch and a half (or so) piece or Silicone tube does a great job coupling to 14mm WT connections. It goes over the lip on the stem on one end and over or inside the 14mm connector depending on gender (inside the F, outside the M). Works great, I got my forth hit that way, just as the flavor was starting to fade a bit, great hit didn't even have to crank up the heat!

A problem with balancing it on top of your WT is the stem is off center. It wants to tip 'to the left'. In my case that doesn't matter since I'm holding it in the hand that isn't holding the WT, but it could be an issue with some. Solo/Air doesn't have this 'offset' problem.

And here I was thinking this thread hadn't provided any useful info... lol

I dab. A lot.
11 pages and I can count on one hand the amount of posts actually relevant to the ArGo, and very little to none about how it performs/compares to the solo/air etc.

From what I remember, someone has already compared the Solo II and ArGo, saying that the Solo II still has slightly denser vapor production than the ArGo, and that the Air II is similar in vapor production to the ArGo. I know that @ohmygodimsohigh has the Solo II, ArGo and Air II.

Sorry guys, I did see your posts but I just assumed he was taking about something official from Arizer.

Both of your options would absolutely work.

No worries. But as I said a week or so back:
I didn't find one either. Nor do I recall their being all that fast at offering them for Solo? IIRC for a few years PV was the only source.......

Given the target use, I suspect it's not a priority with them. However I will no doubt be looking for some way to do this, probably with something like the little bubbler PIU sells for Solo/Air. Perhaps with an o-ring but more likely with Silicone tube in the ID of the MP since so little of it is 'proud' (sticking up) to start with. Something around 3/8 inch I figure?

I don't expect Arizer to be all that fast (how fast were they with WT stems for Solo/Air?).

Lucky for me the half inch ID tube fits so well over the MP lip, I didn't have much luck matching up to the ID of the stem once I got it. 3/8 was 'almost right'........

Using the little WTs like the ones PIU sells for the Solo/Air is easily adapted with the tube as well, but I kind of like the little bubbler I'm using for now.

I suspect in the next half year or so PV will get them in stock and be selling enough that they will offer us a PVHES for it with a WT connector on the other end. Too early for them to jump in yet I think.

Another option is take it to the local glass blower and have him attach a WT fitting to the factory stem?

IMO no need to fear, 'dig the tunnel, the train will come'. Until a factory offering comes along, we have home brew options to see us through the dark days.

So with the ArGo out there...remind me why we need the Air?

So we can use all the lovely aftermarket stems that work in Solo/Air but not ArGo?

Because the form factor is more 'natural' on Air? If tiny size is not important......

Because Air is much easier to hang onto when it's in use (no 'hot spots' where you want to grab it)? Better suited to casual use.

It's not off center weight wise, won't tip over a WT as easily.

Lucky for us there's choice here. But I bet Air outsells Argo, at least for a while. If I were Arizer I'd definitely produce both.

So with the ArGo out there...remind me why we need the Air?

Slightly larger bowls plus an assortment and different types of available stems along with available adapters for using it with water tools is the only real plus I can see with the Air right now although when holding both the Air still feels higher quality to me with the aluminum body as opposed to the much lighter and to me kinda flimsy feeling ArGo. Performance wise the Go seems to hold up to the air and Solo but so far I've only done 8 sessions with it... and after those 8 sessions It was still showing about half the battery life but I haven't plugged it in to check the % of charge left yet. (or turned it back on since finishing the last session)

Time will Tell where this stands in my collection or if I'll even keep it, so far I like it a lot although I still gabbed my Fury for a quick session last night I just finished a nice 8 minute session with the Go and it put me right for watching Man city blow away Newcastle U.

Well... I had an original Solo, never loved it. I had an original Air... also never had too much love for it. So much so that the Air 2 and Solo 2 were completely overlooked by me and I had no interest in it.
For some reason though this one has intrigued me. The form factor, the increased portability, not sure. But whatever it was, I pulled the trigger. We will see.

So having options is a bad thing?

I never stated my opinion or said its bad or good.

I was mostly looking for a proper explanation on the Air's benefits...
Is it too much to ask for?

Well I guess not.
Thanks guys.

Personal call, Amigo? There are some differences, small as they might be to some, that are very important to other individuals. Ironically, sometimes guys can even see any one point differently entirely. For instance, small size is most important for some of us, ArGo a clear winner. While other users are not overly concerned with stealth but casual enough to end up grabbing it in a hot part accidentally and harshing their mellow entirely too often. Those will likely be much happier with Air? "It's what makes horse races" as they say?

Some are fortunate to try each and decide 'on the fly'. Others must make more careful choices 'up front'. Hopefully informed choices in any case?

Good question.
