Any serious beer drinkers in forum?

Unfortunately, none near me either! Sounds like some good stuff.

Think my favorite spicy IPA is still Sculpin Habanero. Very spicy in an excellent IPA.

Couple of spicy stouts I've had are pretty good too,but no names instantly come to mind.

Both the Habanaro and Grapefruit Sculpin just landed out my way for the first time recently.

I haven't tried the habanero. I wanted to, but didn't want a sixer of it.

But the grapefruit variety is amazing. One of the best smelling IPAs in my humble opinion. Like a juicy fresh cut grapefruit.

Yeah... the grapefruit is a big personal favorite! Really like it if fresh on tap. The habanero gives quite a kick. More habanero flavor than the grapefruit in that one. If you're not a big fan of spicy foods, try to get a taste or a single before picking up a six.

Was able to hit Bell's tonight.

The plan was to see how much better Jupiter is on tap as compared to the bottle. Unfortunately, the two versions are very close. We were disappointed that the freshly tapped brought nothing else to the table.

BUT...

They also had Hopslam in a frickin' firkin. OMG. Hopslam is a great beer. In a firkin it is an amazing beer. That cask just rubs off all the sharp edges of Hopslam and delivers a velvety, hoppy, balanced wet dream.

If you can get there, it's absolutely worth the drive. Check their beer menu cam online to make sure it is still there.

Hopslam from a frickin' firkin? :mmmm:

Man, that sounds good! You lucky dog!

Have only had Jupiter from bottle also. It's OK. Glad I had a single.

Dogfish is a huge favorite of mine. They do some amazing things, and some crazy ones that are hit and miss. Think I've tried all except those that are new. If you're ever in Ocean City, MD it's worth the 1/2 hr drive up to their original brew pub in Rehobeth. They still brew small batches of all kinds of solid and crazy stuff, and always have the best of their "minute" series on tap. It's a 75 minute called Johnny Cask. I really like 60, 90 & 120 (when I can afford to get blotto!), but the 75 is something special. May be because it is still small batch, IDK, but it is one of those perfect solid IPA's. You can sometimes find it on tap or in bombers up and down the east coast. Not sure about elsewhere. Would strongly suggest it. Never had it as good as from their own tap (especially on cask), but still good stuff!

. . . Another thread I'm lovin' on FC :)

A couple of these are currently going down rather nicely at the moment - dark & fairly full-on & strong in flavour, more than just a hint, in my opinion the amaretto element in this beer is defintely in the forefront . . .

Bottled chocolatey-marzipan-coffee beer at it's best!

Good times.

I personally enjoy a high ABV.

Amen, brutha. It's probably a sign of enjoying too many beers but a 6 or 7 % beer might as well be milk. Having said that, I'm all for a low alcohol beer that is über tasty.

Recently tried a new wheat beer. Where I'm from, Oberon reigns supreme. Now that it's mass produced, I find it boring.

Arcadia's Whitsun beats it but I recently tried another that crushes it:

The honey blood orange is what you're looking for.

You have to find it on tap. The can is good but a bit fizzy. On tap, it rates VERY highly with the ladies.

@Mr Mellish ^^^ Wow that's dedication! And very interesting too. I just googled this one & it looks like a very intriguing stout indeed.

A 'pre-ticketed reservation process' for beer pick ups?!

You waited for an hour in the freezing cold?! :o

If you are willing to do that it must be most impressive!

I hope you are savoring every drop!!

Enjoy!
You deserve it! :)

Im looking into this as we speak!! Which do you prefer canned or bottle? How does the quality/taste differ?
I generally prefer bottles but I've only been able to get cans of this stuff. I always pour my cans into a mug. I taste the aluminum if I don't, lol. Other than that I don't find there's much difference.

Cheers man! My replies a little late so let me know if you've tried it and how you like it

Just stood in the freezing cold for an hour for a 4-pack of KBS!

Nice grab. They never sell 4 packs out my way. Only singles, usually with a 1-2 bottle limit per person. And many places will trickle them out throughout the year.

Still have a few bottles of 2014 in my basement.

Hoping to be able to grab some 2015 when it hits in my area. Likely in the next week or so I assume.

Good luck. They generally dole it out in bottles of 1 or 2 here as well. This time, the line was smaller so they gave everyone a 4 pack. Six cases gone in less than 15 minutes.
