Another daft question coming up. Can/could you use extracts or oil with the anvil
@PlanetHaze in some way? I simply don't use herb anymore, much prefer oils off sic. Not sure it can be done but I have used bubble in my vap cap before, was better than expected.
Yes you can use most concentrates that don't leave behind residuals. Bet you have some very nice bubble hash that would work divinely in the Anvil. We find the
LINX Eden Lava Plates fit the Anvil's herb chamber perfectly to make a mesh concentrate sandwich. Anvil specific concentrate solution is being worked on and you can be assured it will be effective and science based.
What i am most concerned about this design is that herb is cooking for 30 seconds until you reach needed temperatures, that might degrade terpenes a bit, unless i am wrong and this is mostly convection device, like the supreme but i doubt it.
This is a superb question and concern, thank you
@Abysmal Vapor for asking so we could answer.
The Patina Tells The Tale
See the photo below of the Anvil Straight Regular Sized herb chamber and the Anvil Helix Regular Sized herb chamber. Please note that both herb chambers show well used patina on the temperature sensing areas after 20 uses.
Convection or Conduction is the age old question with proponents on both sides, we say why not have the option of both in 1Vape. Part of Anvil's magic are the changeable herb chambers, not just in size, but in function as well as the different heating zones.
The
Straight Walled Herb Chamber has a specific insulating air gap between the interior CopperCore oven wall and herb chamber wall, remaining silver (cooler) biasing to convection.
The peaks of the
Helix Herb Chamber absorb additional heat directly from the interior oven wall biasing this chamber towards conduction for denser materials. You choose the bowl that is right for the material on hand or intensity of hit desired.
Due to the Anvil's temperature clicker being located on the bowl, it has the flexibility of using custom temp clickers for different heat requirements. Where you target the flame also matters. Residual heat for deeper roasts is stored in the thermal battery and will be released (by the rapid regeneration of inner oven stainless wall temperature due to coppers incredible conductivity) into the convection air stream. For single hit full extraction, you target your torch flame on the Copper Thermal Battery and for a less intense hit, you target the torch flame onto the stainless steel of the oven.
In conclusion to Abysmal Vapor's excellent question and concerns, You are NOT cooking the herb. You are raising the temperature of the herb to the correct temperature for extraction. Since the temperature sensor is on the herb chamber, once it snaps you MUST stop heating and start drawing because your herb is at the perfect temperature.
Not every bowl has to Ride The Line, if you want terpy microdosing just heat the stainless oven wall and not the Copper Thermal Battery.
What is the anticipated pricing ?
Anticipated pricing will be around the same as a Titanium Omnivap.
