Is this a simple "more evenly heats" or does it mean that the copper core allows for even heating all around the tip without having to twirl it while torching?
The copper is all throughout the oven so you don't need to turn while heating as the copper carries the heat very fast. The copper is sandwiched between stainless steel layers just like high end cookware.
about heating: how much time it takes to be ready with a triple torch lighter?
i suppose if the Wand is not power enough you need a big tank lighter to have a good autonomy(?)

Edit: didn't see this: " If he is issued the patent, he will be able to SHUT DOWN every competitor and stifle future innovation in this field"...miserly as hell
great question, we like dual flame torch lighters, they take about 35 seconds when heated to Ride The Line, but if you want a less intense hit, just heat closer to the tip. The Wand will heat the Anvil, but it needs to be held steady and takes about 60 seconds. Lighter tank size doesn't matter unless you want more torch time per fill.

Any quicker with a triple torch? 35 seconds for a click is longer than I'd prefer to torch something. I have some of these Vertigo triples..

WoW this seems great to be to hey one Monster cloud :whoa:
But i think lighter tank matters since It determines your autonomy. If you have a portable dual lighter (not a cooking torch, a normal torch which can be on your pocket) and you have to use It for 35s/hit...maybe you need to refill the torch every 3/4 hits

Sure, more heat, the faster anything heats up. We don't mind waiting a few extra seconds for a phenomenal hit to perfectly ride the line. The few seconds longer for us to wait heating is well worth it to not have any temperature over shoot and a perfectly roasted one and done.

We use it with small Vertigo, Jobon and Honest torches. You can use any torch you want with any tank size you want. With so many different torch lighters available, you will need to test the run time of your particular torch. Our favorite so far is a dual flame torch set to a little higher than low. See video below, flame size is small.

Hey there!
That was a really nice rip in that video! I like how with the copper, you dont have to spin the device to heat evenly, however the copper element kind of concerns me. I wont use copper, brass, or anything like that in my Dynavap stems due to oxidization concerns, and I just want to make sure those concerns wont apply here.
Can you tell me more about what kind of copper you guys used, melting/gassing temps, and that sort of technical data? I know you mentioned that the copper is just in the core (sandwiched), but there is exposed copper on the outside in direct contact to the torch, and that's what really concerns me. I love the concept and idea, I just want to make sure the materials are safe.
Thanks!

Great questions and concerns here that everybody should care about.

The copper used in the Anvil vaporizer is C110, the purest grade of oxygen free copper available. It is mined in Canada and Vestratto purchases large blocks of this pure copper which is then machined in house in Toronto Canada. You rightly mention the visible copper is on the outside of the vapor path. In the oven section the copper is safely sandwiched between the two stainless layers. The melting point of copper is 1085 Celsius.

The reason copper is coated in high-end cookware is because it reacts with liquid acids like vinegar and tomato sauce. Heated in air, as in the Anvil application, the exposed copper will from a patina of copper oxide. Copper has to reach 2400 degrees Celsius to offgas at 1 atmosphere, sea level. See picture of oven wall cross section below as well as the Vapor pressure curves for material boiling points showing copper Cu won't off-gas until over 4500 degrees F.

As a Dynavap user feeling completely alienated by the company for a number of CORPORATE reasons this is particularly interesting. Seems like a pretty skookum design and engineering. That rip, yikes I need the small bowl!

Any eta?

I'm surprised you aren't using the Firefox torch you sell, they are awesome.
Hi Planck,
Sorry to hear about your Dynavap woes! We hope to open pre-orders as early as next week, with shipping perhaps in December. We love the Firefox torch, but it's price prevents many people from trying it out. We sell them because they are awesome, getting a restock on them soon.

Another FC`er had asked about the Anvil's individual parts. Here is a labeled photo identifying all the parts. Looks so simple for something so Beastly!

We are hoping to start pre-orders in less than 2 weeks with shipping in time for Christmas. 3+ years of design changes, testing, upgrades, testing, add-ons, testing, fine tuning, testing, tweaking, more testing, production prototypes, mass testing, final tweaks, final testing and now Anvil is finally in production.

Another daft question coming up. Can/could you use extracts or oil with the anvil @PlanetHaze in some way? I simply don't use herb anymore, much prefer oils off sic. Not sure it can be done but I have used bubble in my vap cap before, was better than expected.

Will it fit any of the current induction heaters? Does the inspire wand fit it? I think anything designed for Dynavap will be too narrow?

Those questions are already answered ,just read the thread ;). In short it fits the wand ,but it takes too long to heat up,doesnt fit IH appropriated to dynavap obviously cause it is different diameter.
What i am most concerned about this design is that herb is cooking for 30 seconds until you reach needed temperatures, that might degrade terpenes a bit, unless i am wrong and this is mostly convection device, like the supreme but i doubt it.

@Roffa , @Abysmal Vapor didn’t mention your reading skills. He let you know this had been covered already, AND he answered you as well. This is a 2 page thread and there is a reasonable expectation that people visiting FC are reading.

Its a little different in the Dynavap thread with thousands of replies, to ask some questions, rather than read that whole beast.

Your circumstance is unfortunate and sounds fraught with frustration. Perhaps that’s why your response seemed a bit defensive.
Luckily folks like Abysmal make FC a compassionate and understanding forum.

Yes you can use most concentrates that don't leave behind residuals. Bet you have some very nice bubble hash that would work divinely in the Anvil. We find the LINX Eden Lava Plates fit the Anvil's herb chamber perfectly to make a mesh concentrate sandwich. Anvil specific concentrate solution is being worked on and you can be assured it will be effective and science based.

This is a superb question and concern, thank you @Abysmal Vapor for asking so we could answer.

The Patina Tells The Tale
See the photo below of the Anvil Straight Regular Sized herb chamber and the Anvil Helix Regular Sized herb chamber. Please note that both herb chambers show well used patina on the temperature sensing areas after 20 uses.

Convection or Conduction is the age old question with proponents on both sides, we say why not have the option of both in 1Vape. Part of Anvil's magic are the changeable herb chambers, not just in size, but in function as well as the different heating zones.

The Straight Walled Herb Chamber has a specific insulating air gap between the interior CopperCore oven wall and herb chamber wall, remaining silver (cooler) biasing to convection.

The peaks of the Helix Herb Chamber absorb additional heat directly from the interior oven wall biasing this chamber towards conduction for denser materials. You choose the bowl that is right for the material on hand or intensity of hit desired.

Due to the Anvil's temperature clicker being located on the bowl, it has the flexibility of using custom temp clickers for different heat requirements. Where you target the flame also matters. Residual heat for deeper roasts is stored in the thermal battery and will be released (by the rapid regeneration of inner oven stainless wall temperature due to coppers incredible conductivity) into the convection air stream. For single hit full extraction, you target your torch flame on the Copper Thermal Battery and for a less intense hit, you target the torch flame onto the stainless steel of the oven.

In conclusion to Abysmal Vapor's excellent question and concerns, You are NOT cooking the herb. You are raising the temperature of the herb to the correct temperature for extraction. Since the temperature sensor is on the herb chamber, once it snaps you MUST stop heating and start drawing because your herb is at the perfect temperature.

Not every bowl has to Ride The Line, if you want terpy microdosing just heat the stainless oven wall and not the Copper Thermal Battery.
