I purchased two of them about a year ago from VGoodies...I went on there now and could not find them to provide a link for you. So...my search was mute.

DrG

edit
someone should make a better version. Rogue Glass Works or some glass blower outfit. even China glass do not have them. hint hint

...because of the newly designed interior the hot air is drawn out very properly...I am not feeling any difference having this glass in. I cannot feel a difference...everything has improved.

yeah a few negative reviews or minor criticism, and then that's all it takes for some people to be dissuaded.

edit
Heavy Ted vape users may not find the avlp2 to be powerful enough, i hope i'm wrong. however, maybe you will lets us all know?
It's a 260€ device with bubbles in the outer cover. Something multiple users have reported and which we also saw in their demonstration units.

Like it or not, but for that price you can expect a proper quality control. And some people are put off by that not being the case.

And before anyone comes in and claims that you could have used some coupons to get it cheaper: Yes, a) you could have, doesn't mean everyone did and b) If a business actually produces a 100€ vape but prices it at 260€, so that it looks like a great deal when sold as 100€, that's also on them.

Facts is that the retail price is listed as 260€.

was not directed to anyone, a general observation.
what does your response to me have to do with my quoted comment? your comment seems personal, and directed to me.

If there are bubbles then yeah, it's not great but all vape manufacturers have this pain point. Just look at the Venty's problems with a much more expensive device. At least this problem is just cosmetic.

I think you're exaggerating this issue here. Most vape manufacturers have retail and sale prices. Airvape doesn't market the machine like a 100€ device and it doesn't go on sale from 269€ to 100€. 100€ or 100US was a special upgrade price if you owned another airvape.

The AVLP generally retails for 269US and goes on sale usually for 199US or as low as 169US, not 100$. Similarly I think the TM2 retails for 349€ but goes on sale often for 275€ or less.

lol this whole thread keeps giving me whiplash between reassurance and doubt. I think I will just expect bubbles, and an experience basically comparable to my previous vape, and delivery by late August. Not quite what I hoped, but better for my needs than any alternative that is likely to arise any time soon — and maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised.

Greetings,

I have been a fan of this vape from the beginning...and this version is the very best. I said critical things about the cover material...and I did address it with Gary right away...this is a minor problem it is not mechanical. That truly is the only thing I have a gripe about...but, as far as the vaping part it is fantastico!!!!!!!!!!!! Get one today...it is truly a great vape.

My steampunk has been the perfect vape. I never had any cleaning issues, or anything else. It does nice thick clouds, and the dose caps are fantastic. I didnt need the new one, but the steampunk has been A+++ and I wanted the newer version because if they could make it even a tiny bit better, then it would be A++++. It's been compared to all the big dogs in plenty of videos. I would never trade it for a TM2 or Might+ or whatever else is out there. But that's just me.

Maybe a Toad that I really really liked, but only because those are literal art. I wouldn't use it. I'd still have my extra AVLP to use.

May I ask how Gary solved it?
Greetings MegaChip,

I wrote to Gary with my situation just yesterday and he replied to show him a video...so, it took me to last night to send it to him...so, I am not sure if he has seen my note yet. I will let you know asap when I hear from him. I understand that I am not the only one with this problem. I am not worried about it though because when I had a situation before...it was taken care of. I am truly enjoying the Alp2...for me the airflow is top priority and it fits my needs. Good day to you.

Slight correction here: That was not a special upgrade price, if you pre-ordered in April you got that price without using the upgrade offer. I own an AVLP 1 but didn't use an upgrade offer to get the pre-order pricing.

The AVLP 1 also was having very frequent deep discounts or "buy 2 for the price of 1" offers, so the retail price does indeed feel like a "trap" for people that don't know about this fact.

Edit: And as much as I love my AVLP, and expect to love my AVLP 2, if I pre-ordered this device for the full retail price of $269 with the promise of receiving it in June, only to see people receive their first units with quality control issues in July, I would be pretty pissed off as well. If I was in that position I would probably cancel my pre-order as well, and wait for the quality control issues to be fixed and the device being on sale for a discount again (which is only a matter of time if you look at past Airvape sales)

But if you pre-ordered this device for $100/100€, like I did, then you would be insane to cancel your pre-order. A 2 month delay and some air bubbles under the adhesive are a small price to pay for how much value you are getting for your money with this device, and I expect the air bubbles to be an easy fix

Yup, I forgot that was true for first time buyers since I wasn't one myself. I got the email and knew about the 99$ pricing solely because I was on their mailing list. It's very special pricing because it only happens perhaps once every new version. You're buying a unit very early before the release. It's a gamble so it's very discounted. Precisely I think because of issues like late delivery or snags as we're seeing now. I don't like the bubbling cork exterior but I'll be pretty happy if the only issue is cosmetic. I know others will be different.

I don't know about very frequent. I think this only happened during the year it was to be discontinued for the the AVLP 2? Or maybe only once a year on 4/20? I don't think it was a premeditated "trap" for the naive by Airvape. Many vendors do some of blowout pricing to clear inventory for a new version.

Yeah if I ordered for full retail after missing the pre-order pricing, I'd be very upset. I'm pretty sure they extended the aggressive pre-order pricing for a few weeks though, raising the price slightly each time to give people time to take advantage. Anyone who recently bought it for $269 probably wasn't paying attention or searching much for a deal because it was there to be had for a while.
