Do these coils just die? I have a 30mm 710 Coils Deep Dish Axial coil from summer 2021 that seemingly has.

Tried on two RDK-300Bs, both trip the breaker at around 370°F.

Connected to an even older DC PeliNail that trips the breaker immediately upon turning on.

Other coils work fine.

Looks like the 30mm deep dish cable isn't even sold anymore? There's these Cobra coils, but the cable seems like it's maybe six inches long? Is there a replacement? Is there any DIY fix?

Do these coils just die?

Yes, especially when used a lot for high-temperature burn-clean duties and, continually rolling up or bending the cable can cause metal fatigue and the fault you have described.

The wires eventually get weak and will give out and either feel like its not quite hot enough or they will just stop working all together =)
But coils are expected to last 1 to 2 years
