I would recommend everyone to read the continuous improvement thread on the 2ZM.

I would be interested to hear what people think.

There is a lot of irony here. Central to the Toyota Way's concept of Kaizen is that employees and stakeholders should feel empowered to identify and raise issues, so they can be rectified at the source, before they cause more damage to the organization. They should feel safe to raise issues without fear of retaliation from company leadership. For example, at Toyota plants, even low level operators have the ability to stop an entire line when they see something is wrong.

Kaizen applies not just to engineering and manufacturing practices, but to the organization as a whole - all levels of the organization should fully embrace this culture, and this always requires deep self reflection.

I have no idea what went on between Ryan and Yoosh. I was not there, i dont know whos in the right and whos in wrong. I wont speculate, cuz i dont know facts.

Either this forum has a high proportion of clervoyent individuals, or the trend is clear.

@vapviking, did you ever hear when yours would ship? Looks like they are about ready, no?
I didn't follow up on my order specifically (though that was an option) because I didn't want to be given any priority treatment. They just said, "by next weekend."

Yes, looks like the 'last batch' is ready.
I don't have mine, nor any shipping notice. I guess it will be coming along soon, but I'll admit, my anticipation level is very low at this point.

With the 40% off code, the exotics are priced slightly lower than I ended up pre-paying for mine 4 months ago.

Less than stellar performance, and I understand Ryan has been trying his best, but it looks to me like the writing is on the wall.

Thanks, that's what I was thinking. I understood that he was wanting to get the fixes out and the upgrades done and get a little feedback before he finished and sent these.

I haven't compared mine but that would be a great deal. I'd love to be able to recommend these, hopefully soon.

Ah.. I guess it won't be long now.. mine was pre-ordered at the beginning of August! I'm sure Ryan working on it 🤞
Mine's probably among the last ordered, I think it was like that last day or two of the pre-sale. I'm taking your notifications as a good sign! But I do wanna hear all about them! ; )

Okay, I'm one bowl in and actually pretty pleased.
The "fit and finish" are really nicer than I anticipated, no machine marks left on wood or metal, all is sanded/polished out.

I rechecked the use-video; batteries are inserted in opposite pos/neg orientation. Either way, as long as they are opposite.

I think this is going to be a quite manageable unreg vape. It does not have the jolt of heat I recall from the Milaana3, I think its more slow and steady (I was giving 5 sec preheat then about 5 or 6 secs of heat during the hit, then continuing the draw for a few more secs.)

Not wanting to bust into the supplied stem, I used an xl8r short, to which I have added some balls.

It's D-day! 2ZM has finally arrived!

First impressions are very very good.. a remarkable job by Ryan! Mine is Maple for the heater, followed by Walnut (like stripe effect because Zebra was out of stock) for the left and right, then Birdseye Maple for the top and bottom

I asked for two battery doors in Maple, not knowing which one would suit me (one without handle and the second with handle) with a 3D-printed wooden battery box and stainless steel glass holder. I'm very happy and these woods give off great vibes around here. It's fantastic!

I'm currently experimenting with this one with different stem sizes (19/26, 19/22 and 19/19), but it's really a beast! It's going to be great! A really good deal and this promises good things! It seems very homogeneous and it doesn't seem to need to play much with the buttons (a bit like my Mi2). The idea of a Power Adapter, as proposed by our friend @KeroZen, seems like a good idea for an on-demand desktop. More information soon :brow:

alright i guess enough time and testing has been done. I have a 2ZM with a one button activation and a power plug on the other side. I rewired and tested to make sure that a short was nearly impossible. If you're thinking about doing the change trust me and go for it. It's the only way i see to get the 2ZM working with a bong. The voltage range is 3.5(low temp but i can leave it on all day) all the way to 7 voltage (only if you want to start cold and get a hit ). I usually set it to 5 volts and i get the full extraction with a slow terpy hit and no worries of combusting. I still think a 4MD is better because the coil mesh is longer and can go up to 12 volts full power without starting to burn the 2ZM wood.

Thank you for the information, it's good to know

By any chance, do you have some pictures of the heater disassembly to share with us? I'm curious about it, but I don't intend to dismantle mine.

How did you proceed for power adapter? all ideas are welcome!

Question, I have a 2ZM without the fuse, is this needed and if so can I do this myself?
Ryan should prepare a video on this subject.

Question, I have a 2ZM without the fuse, is this needed and if so can I do this myself?

One guys glass came lose, and he twisted the heater causing a short. Obviously to make this short dangerous he needed to hold down both buttons.

If your glass comes loose, dont use your 2ZM. This only happened to one guy, and i think he might have taken the glass out himself to clean it.

The fuse is an added precaution, for a low probability event.

Those on sale units sold like hot cakes. Went to the website a couple hours after the link was posted in this thread and they were all sold out! Hoping for another restock at the lower price point.
