Start at 600, work your way down or up. Lower temps will extend your session and roast your load less. Between 650-700 worked fine. But if you can manage to do higher temps for a while I’m sure it would only help to expedite the process. Essentially all the crust is a build up of waxy material - The only way to get it off completely is to allow for it to roast away.

I recommend you leave that “burnt up” sic dish on high heat for a couple days. Mine looked like crud when I used it for dabbing but after a while of regular use (no dabbing on the dish, just flower) the crud powdered up and then eventually became easily wiped from the surface....eventually.
