I've found it much easier if I start turning while I'm bringing the pieces together rather than jamming them together and then trying to start. I remove the larger stems but I've had bits of reedy, shredded stems get left in the top plate after grinding. And dry flower definitely grinds easier...

Vape spittoon works great, much cleaner than dumping and scraping. It fits standard mason jars and that little screen keeps bits from blowing back into your eyes.

I went with all silver because it's the lightest color. I thought it'd give the best contrast to the dark flowers, making it easier to see the bits that need to be brushed out or when it's time to for a cleaning. Every little bit helps, the old eyes ain't what they used to be. 👀

I was leaning towards fine but went with medium because that's what most people recommended when I asked. I like it. It seems like a medium fine grind to me so I haven't felt the need to grind upside down yet. Coarse makes sense for over dry flowers.

It's new grinder day! 7 1/2 weeks plus one week in transit. Packaged well, nothing fancy, just bubble wrap and crumpled paper padding. The silver color looks great, not too shiny, almost like polished aluminum. I like it. Quick wash with dish soap and water and lots of patience waiting for it...

I like the rubberized coating, too. No issues with wear or lint or stickiness IME over a couple years use. I hope the Rogue uses a regular battery. Proprietary sucks.
