I just checked and mine will activate with just the weight of the vapcap, no hands needed. It's more about getting the angle correct so you contact the tabs rather than pushing them down.

Mine usually sit at the bottom of my vape drawer. Recently I found that I can use them as a wpa for my Edge.

They use the same glass but I would confirm with @Aezhenn to make sure they’ll work.
