    PAX Era by PAX Labs

Thanks for the write up. I’d want to wait for the Stone pods to be more ubiquitous before I’d consider switching to it.

I’m still surprised at how cool the vapor is out of this. I thought I’d use it exclusively with water but most of the time I hit it dry.

    Discontinued The Splinter by RBT

Usually a slow draw is where the risk of combustion is on an all convection vape because if you draw too slowly, the hot air lingers in the bowl, cooking the herb. If you draw quickly, the air rushes through the bowl and you’re less at risk for combusting. If you draw too fast though, then the...

Confirmation email? Has Marc started taking orders? Or just confirmation that you’re on the list for when he does start taking orders?

    Discontinued The Splinter by RBT

Speaking from experience, the Splinter can take some practice to get really comfortable with it. Keep at it and you’ll be a pro in no time. And try a different mod if you’re combusting at 20 watts!

    Dynavap VapCap

It’s not waterproof and not smell proof, hence the gimmicky feel to me. This is Dynavap, but that product feels like a third party cash in to me.

Am I the only one who feels like this is a total gimmick?

Has anyone been able to compare this to the Carta?

It looks to me like the warranty is for atomizers with a manufacturer defect. An atomizer dying after a period of time is not a manufacturer defect for a component the manufacturer explicitly states is consumable. In other words, if the atomizer exhibits irregular behavior under normal use...

    Discontinued Splinter Z by RBT

Ryan announced several months ago that he indeed was planning on no longer making custom Splinters of any kind.

Why go with a conduction device?

I had a Pax 1, and it was popcorn flavor all day every day so you’re right that the Fury 2 isn’t absolutely the worst. However, the Pax 1 was a long time ago so the Fury 2 had damn well be better than it.

    Firewood Vaporizer

With a portable more battery life is always nice, but at the same time so is the size of it in the pocket and the hand. Since the battery is swappable I think the size considerations should win out over the battery capacity consideration, unless you can accommodate a 20700 without significantly...

    Firewood Vaporizer

I am so ready for this vape. I love how it looks closed and I love that there’s a built in locking mechanism for when you’re not using it. I’ll feel much better carrying it in a bag or pocket that way. Using pressure to activate the heater instead of the button means you can just palm the device...

    AMBIT by Vivant

Forgot to mention I got my WPA. At higher temps the foul taste comes back and is even worse. I don’t know if this needs more burn off at high temps to get rid of it or if it’s just a side effect of a hot burning Kanthal coil. Either way I’m not inclined to use it at high temps again.

    Firewood Vaporizer

@firewood Given that you’re keeping a good amount of herb in the device itself, how smelly does it get just being carried around? Would people around a user notice the smell when the vape isn’t being used?

I can’t speak to the hydratube but I agree that the terpenes are very prominent with the V4, and even without water filtration the hits are tremendously cool. I’m completely smitten with this device.

Got my V4 today. It feels like a significant step up from the 3.5 to me. The metal housing is easier to handle than the ceramic of the 3.5 and having the mouthpiece hot swappable with o-rings is an inspired touch. I got a 14mm WPA with it and ran it through the Sneaky Pete Scorpion. The...
