I use this technique, but every time I reinstall the screen I hold it upside down over a bowl and give it a few vigorous shakes to make sure it’s fully seated. Never had an issue before, but I don’t want to risk the burns.

Yeah, it was my first vape and holds a special place in my heart, but holding the battery in to keep the device on hurts my palm. Also mine seemed to lose charge quickly and took hours to recharge (usually would have to charge overnight), but I very likely had an old batch of batteries.
