The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

I always have more than enough time to extract. Even on low temps. However a user suggested SIC balls would offer even more heat capacity. Nothing stopping anyone from giving them a go. I would find it overkill personally. But I would be really keen to read feedback from anyone who tried it.

Isn't this all a bit moot since it's not 6 months ago, and we now have multiple users like myself giving two thumbs up to the device? That guy's video was thin in detail and feedback imo. It's since been bettered by people in this thread

People giving critical feedback is a service to the forum. However I believe some points that have been made may be born out of inexperience with the device imo. I've been doing low temp hits all morning, native in glass sleeve sans SCU, and in a j-hook using BB3 as a WPA. Lovely taste...

I think the taste is good. I would put TM2 and sticky Brick higher. But Tempest for me has good taste. Especially considering competitors in this form factor. It's a subjective thing, so I'm not trying to discredit that review. But I have to say I think flavour is really good. With regards to...

The gold/purple Tempest, with purple Reload and Brilliant cut, is a stunning combo. Ooo even a purpleheart stir tool. Beautiful

I take most my hits to the edge. Quite surprised, as I usually like low temp vaping. The potency is so good at the higher register though. Flavour is still nice somehow. I get pure convection vibes for sure.

We still haven't covered using while in the bath, or sneaking out of your Christmas work social function to vape a sneaky bowl in the alley. Loads of science left to do.

Yeah I understand all the talk of honeymoon period. This vape is powerful, elegant, easy to use, easy to clean. So after the honeymoon period ends, it will be a daily beater for most. It's like that for me still. Still the vape I have on my desk all day incase I fancy a bowl, already loaded, sat...

Speaking of testing. Brenyo sent me some glass sleeves and a secondary cooling unit to try out. Whole device has been cleaned and is just drying now. I have a plain glass, and rainbow glass sleeve to try. Tests for performance won't be relevant as it's the old model sleeves made from quartz...

I'm currently using the new Tempest. I've been putting a lot of hash through it and upon cleaning noticed a lot of solid residue. Luckily the Tempest has a long vapour path and the residue didn't come close to the MP. But it put a couple of questions in my head. Firstly I would like to know if...

@kokolokokolokon Great content. Especially loved your insight on hash. You clearly know your hash very well. I found that very interesting. Looks great in black doesn't it? I'm struggling deciding my colour choice again. You might get a warning about back to back posts. I hope they take into...

I locked my MP as I couldn't see a use. Now a realize it would be great if using the carb rocker while in use. This thing has so many smart little details.

I didn't soak for an hour. More like 30 mins then hot water rinse. I didn't iso my tip/balls. I just did a burn off. Maybe that was not sufficient. Too late now 🤷‍♂️

Hard to know when honeymoon is over. I guess it's when the device becomes a daily habit that you sometimes do without even thinking. I'm not there yet, as the device is still joyful to use and I look forward to it. I can't find anything I dislike though. Bodes really well. I think it will...

Yeah I bounced off the Storz stuff. Mighty just wouldn't hit me properly so I was wasting loads of material. I found I liked the Volcano hybrid more due to potency, but had similar problems with developing a cough. Hacking up phlegm. All a bit off topic, but yeah there are always trade offs. I...

Same story here. I ended up trying loads of vapes since, many of which outclassed Dynavap and gave me the power I was looking for. Like B0, sticky Brick, TM2, volcano Hybrid. I found things I disliked with all of them. Always trade offs, often in the workflow or cleaning category. I've since...

Comes with Zirconia standard. Held in by a specially purposed screen that screws into place. I have the old test version that just holds them in place with a normal screen. Balls are secure even in my early version. So I imagine they will be extra secure with the screw in screen. You can also...

Now the fun really begins! So its my favourite setting so far, using flower and doing joint puffs. Need to test that setting with big DTL hits. I think it will be fine. I can tell I'm going to have favourite settings for different scenarios. The options might seem daunting at first, but once...
