The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

It's just the heat shield material by the sounds of it.

    OLD MATE (formerly Medgrind)

So his news about all his new manufacturing equipment is for production of the XL, or to increase output. Not to create more functional updated designs?

    OLD MATE (formerly Medgrind)

Store in my country has stock of the Aroma 3. Very tempted. Looking at the thread though it seems like they are about to update and improve the grinder? Should I wait to see what comes down the pipeline? It's all quite confusing.

    Tornado by Vestratto

It has to be said, Vestratto's products do have some very complex production procedures. I don't envision these products flying off the production belt.

    Tornado by Vestratto

Waiting for third party sellers to get stock does seem highly preferable with Vestratto. I have not idea if/when the Tornado will be stocked here in the UK stores though. It sometimes feels like John hates us :D I bet he can't wait until his product is in the medical mainstream so he doesn't...

The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

Here is a vid of V1 relaxed joint puff style. Using only flower. You can see the extraction window is much longer than most vapes in this format. The session kept going for a couple more tokes but was cut off by the app. The V2 apparently has an even longer extraction window, and an even...

The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

Yeah it's also widely adopted at this point. I'm glad someone is finally adapting and improving the design. I'm sick of those tiny, tight condenser tubes normally utilised. It's like you have to choose between good cooling or good airflow. If Brenyo is giving us both then I think that's fantastic.

The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

I like the sound of that. Seems like airflow would be really nice. The open airflow is one of the things I love about the Tempest. I'm a big fan of the modular heat shield design choice. Already dreaming of getting a custom exotic wood one made. Some nice chunky burl. Saves having to clean the...

The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

Is the stem following a different cooling principle compared to the V1 at full cooling function? Is the vapour path no longer doubling back on itself?

    Tornado by Vestratto

It might sound cynical, but I think they intended a new stem design. Thinking they needed more cooling for the much larger bowl. I think they maybe half came up with something but it would have cost more to produce and sell. Then they saw people are mainly using it with elegant stems with not...

Yes fair point. I guess my unit has pre char and post char

    Camouflet Convector XL

Heard it said in a couple of comments. Maybe they were referring to it having a bolt like silhouette. I recall TM2 use a bolt in their cooling unit, so I feared something like that. Thanks for confirming.

    Tornado by Vestratto

Please don't give them ideas. The device is great and absolutely worth the money. But we want the device to stay a price that most people can afford it. I get the sentiment though.

Yeah my piece is no display until for sure. I had to clean sand of it the other day from a beech session :D It is certainly well loved

Does the flame scorching on my Chery Click suggest I'm using too powerful a flame? Or is this generally expected for an unfinished model with no Mica? Also do we have any rumours of an updated concentrates plate for the Click? The one currently available is not really fit for purpose, as the...

How are you liking it so far?

    Camouflet Convector XL

So does the super capacitor really have a bolt inside it? I thought it was the same design as the standard cap, just with more plates. Seems a bit crude if so.

The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

Looks like you don't have a visual indicator. So yeah get the kit when it releases. They are usually quite cheap. If you have a Wand you will be able to get by with just finding the right setting on the wand or by timing the heating. Or learning how many seconds past the click you like it.

The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

The V2 seems to be going for the modular heat shield design. So I expect to see plenty of Artisan third party heat shields released eventually as well. Brenyo mentioned a few pages back I think that he would supply wooden heat shields as well at some point. I like the extra chunkiness of the V2...

    Tornado by Vestratto

They are probably just removing the listing to sell the Tornado as a complete unit with stem. They will probably add the wpa as an optional accessory, like how they do it with the Anvil.
