Decided to call it the LSV (Life Support Vessel)
Took me all day to make yesterday with the limited tools I had available. Handsaw, Belt Sander, Electric drill and Hole borers....oh and the tube of silicone for tracing around to give me the rounded corners :)
Im sure we can come to some...
Some more photos now with the teak oil applied. Not upto @Dan Morrison standard of pics but the iPad doesn't take the best photos in the gloomy UK early evening :)
Trendy Ambient Mood Lighting perhaps or just an LSV ;)
Had a lazy Sunday afternoon today, so decided on a project for the LSV and this is what I came up with.
LSV Stand made from English Oak. A small amount of work still to do with fine grade sandpaper to get the finish where I want it to be and then some teak oil :)
@Dan Morrison Dont you hate those sort of people who can seemingly turn their hand to anything and be great at it! ;)
Fantastic Video Dan, looking forward to receiving my okin more with every day that passes:clap:
@RastaBuddhaTao Had to do it! Resisted as long as feasibly possible, hoping I might have been able to pass this one by, but it finally snared me! Ordered and on the way to the UK soon.
@vaporvaper What did you pick up for that price? Just the unit, no batteries? With my currency conversion...
They havent taken the money raised so far @anasrzi just taken the campaign down. George will have access to the cash raised thus far, minus I'm presuming GoFundMe's fee. And everyone who funded through GoFundMe will get a VapCap.
As far as I understand it, you dont have to raise the full amount before they release the cash unlike other crowdfunding sites. George does mention words to that effect somewhere in the thread, will try to find it ;)
edit: heres that link to Georges post...
Im already in contact with George about exactly this and was told just message him through gofundme and give him your forum name, name and email etc so he can link that with your order.
You can message him on the funding page by clicking the envelope icon under the banner showing the total...
Im not fiddling with the ceramic heater at all that isnt the issue, its the constantly moving HC causing me grief and these shims. Would it be possible to take some photos of your shims and how you bend them to stop the HC slipping. I just want it to fit centred behind the end cap and then not...
I was thinking the problem with the heater cover is it seems a little too short on mine by 4-5mm. I fiddled with the shim to make it fit a little tighter which it now does but it doesn't stay in place and just slips back and sits on the 3 screwheads at the base of the heater unit with repeated...
@Dan Morrison Thankyou Dan, just double checked my emails and junk folder and definately nothing there so dunno what happened, seems to have just vaporized into the internet atmosphere. :)
Thanks @lwien will check that out shortly.
Just been looking on the 7th floor website at accessories and spares. The LSV heater cover had an old version and new version whats the difference one states "old style (long)", "new style (short)" is it just a difference in length or are there other...
My LSV arrived the other day. One word. WOW! And at the price I got mine for @ £115 in the UK an absolute bargain! Was missing the stir tool/pick from the package but thats no biggie.
On the first heat up I used the included wand and got some huge and very tasty clouds, I was impressed...
Contrarily to popular belief you are not exempt from import tax/charges in the UK. If the item is marked as a gift and at the value of £36 or above you are still liable for charges at the current rate of VAT @ 20%
Art items vary depending on medium. Original one off items or custom items are...
Still waiting for the LSV to arrive today. Have been given a timed delivery slot between 15:45 and 16:45....cant wait to give this thing a try!
Just a quick question to the LSV experts :)
I am going to be using through water, probably in the FC187v2. What is the general concensus on recognised...
