@Tweak thankyou for the kind words. It is made from a solid piece of English Oak. My initial thoughts were exactly the same. I thought about drilling a few holes for the stir stick etc, but when I had finished the bulk of the shaping and finishing it looked so nice I could'nt bring myself to...
@phattpiggie Thanks for the info. Not sure why USB spoils a nice charger though care to elaborate :)
As I thought, thankyou for everyones feedback but it seems the Xtar after research will not take any longer to charge. (or am I wrong....clueless)
Its charging rate is 0.1 - 1.0 amp as I...
Just found the Nitecore D4 at a great price in the UK @ £16.43 compared to Amazons £21 if anybody is in need in preparation for arrival of the all conquering Zion :)

@fonzerelli Yeah I did notice the USB which was the reason for asking. Thankyou. So what does the nitecore power supply throw out in Amps any idea?
Doesn't the charging time depend on how and at what voltage you charge them at?
What are the different amp charge rates on the Nitecore?
Sorry...
The clear bodied version of the Gr8tr is that plastic or glass? Cant find the info
Edit: found out via livechat it is a high grade plastic. I was hoping it to be glass.
A little breakdown of parts :)
Hi
I know of another Zippy from the UK (if you are from UK) on another forum could you possibly be one and the same person? ;)
Just curious thats all. The other forum would be involving street/urban art
Found this site for all UK Zionites.
I see they even have 3000mAh versions but are only 20A/30A as opposed to the 2500mAh at 30/35A would these be ok?

Just a thought how would you load it if the coal holder was permanently attached to the stem ;)
The picture a few posts above shows the full breakdown of parts. Only the 2 parts are user serviceable. The steel tip comes away from the wooden stem and allows for the changing of screens and cleaning.
That stem looks absolutely gorgeous, but unlike others here Im not keen on that two tone colour scheme at all....sorry.
I think it clashes with the overall aesthetic and "olde worlde" vibe/feel of the okin and seems out of place. :2c: ;)
Can we have a close up of that stunning stem @Dan...
@little maggie if you have paid either via paypal or via George's website in any way shape or form, do not worry you are good to go :)
There have been some complications shall we say. Paypal wouldnt allow it due to it being a vape and froze the account and I think likewise or similiar with...
I really wouldn't take that spreadsheet as any estimation as to whats happening at all. A public spreadsheet, that anyone could add info to when and wherever they wanted...just doesnt work as being remotely accurate.
Oh and you spelt Patient wrong on your forum name by the way ;) ;)
If a certain thread is going to stop all the questions about production times, shipping and blah blah blah then please go ahead and put one up.
I personally feel it would be a real shame to spoil one of the best "feelgood" threads on this forum with all the "where am I in line" "How long" "When...
Wow! @Dan Morrison you really do go the extra mile and fabricate everything from scratch which is the reason I love this thing and this thread so much! That stamp is amazing and to be making your own ink too....need I say more.....just fabulous stuff! Cant wait for mine to be ready :)
Biggest...
I dont understand all the fuss about the one LED. This vape is discreet enough as is in my eyes. Will people really take a second glance with all the ecigs on the market. With the use ecigs get in public no one really bats an eyelid. And if they dont notice the lights once covered they sure as...
Im saving all the production photos to keep with my Okin. I can see this thing on Antiques Roadshow a few years down the line. Beautiful. Just remember to keep the box.....haha.
Provenance and history is everything ;)
Problem with those jars from the container store is the light and UV issue. If you want to keep it super fresh it needs to be in the dark with no damaging UV light filtering in.
The satchmo will hold roughly a quarter of an ounce I have found in the past and are very good containers.
I also...
