I just got my FC-187v2 a few days back and was pretty amazed by the quality for the price. The perc on mine is perfect all the slits have been flame treated, all fire and I cant fault it and the glass is THICK!! I measured the glass to the can at approx 6-7mm

Can I ask why you might want to remove it and the advantages of doing so? I dont find it obtrusive or any hinderence, or adding any significant weight, just something to use if the need arises. Most pens have clips on them and it helps keep the stealthy look of the device in my opinion.

Im in the UK and ordered a FC-187 V2 from Steven, great service ordered on the 18th was here on 24th. Not sure on why shipping charges are so much elsewhere seems a bit odd shipping on mine to the UK was only $1.70 :rockon:

@peaceonearth I honestly would go for an 18mm with a reducer as well gives you much more scope to choose from. This is a nice unit and you can pick up reducers for a couple of $/£ Whats the reason why you dont want/dislike the reducer...

@Shit Snacks are you sure about it coming with the SS version? According to the webstore it mentions the Ti version has the leather case and charger included but doesn't say anything on the SS including the case, just the charger. Have I missed some extra info somewhere along the line?

The only real advantage with the Ti version for me could be it being slightly more emmissive which means the mouthpiece might not get as warm and seemingly will cool down slightly quicker but thats it. I always take great care of my purchases so the Ti being tougher doesnt really make any odds...

I can answer two of those for you to the best of my knowledge ;) - No the Ti version wasnt tested just the SS - Yes it is a magnetic charger connection, snaps on over the button at the end. Not sure about ease of charging but I imagine it shouldn't be a problem its only a usb lead not...
