i think this is a good idea, for anyone who has a old piece that needs be freshened up a good kiln cycle will make the glass sparkle like brand new and it wipes away any built up stress from years of abuse. remember glass has memory and it doesnt forget all those times u banged it on something

i would take the piece ( if it is free from any cracks or chips ) place the pc in your oven ( @ room temp ) set your oven to self clean mode ( usually goes up to 500F ) and let it raise and cook and lower to room temp ( do not open oven door when hot ) and this will cook out any stains / grime...
