I thought i'd chime in as well. OP - the 3 tubes you posted where all percs w. multi chambers - seems like you want a large pc with lots of diffusion keeping that in mind I would go with a honeycomb disc or a frit disc tube they are usually shorter ( so they won't tip over as easily ) and...

that repair does look risky - they need to remove the joint and the whole can and redone everything from the perc up I would go for the trade

i've seen that crack/break plenty of times - the weld between the mouth piece and the can wasn't fully melted in so a small impact will crack it clean off - i'm sure andrew will fix it proper tho it doesn't even looks like a difficult repair because it cracked clean off
