Order placed for a matte SS BCG with a polished plate. Now I gotta figure out how to forget about it for two months so I can be pleasantly surprised instead of irritably impatient when it arrives.
It just takes a while. I can get to the second click if I turn the temperature (actually a timer) up all the way. I went back and forth between the Wand and a Firefox Mini before I got a Forge.
I think someone said in another thread (possibly the Tempest or Forge threads) that SS balls wouldn't be impacted by an induction heater; the electromagnetic current (or whatever; I'm probably butchering the terminology) doesn't penetrate deeply enough to impact much more than the induction...
Dumb question, but for people who are picking up SS factory seconds - are you just checking and refreshing the factory seconds page all the time? It seems like they're a rarity, and IDK if there's a more practical way to keep an eye out for them when they pop up.
I tried searching the thread and couldn't find an answer: does the Vestratto USA work with the stunner head? It looks like the custom-made Stunner adapter must've sold out.
I'd say it's possible, but I find it easiest to achieve through an additional heating cycle (or two; YMMV). I'm using the Forge on Cascade mode and find that the initial cycle has tons of flavor and gets the material to a golden brown color, while the second cycle will have more of a roasty...
Yeah, I meant like a new option at the top end of the price spectrum. It could be that they're introducing operational efficiencies by dropping their most difficult and time-consuming product (likely improving production capacity), or they could be working toward some kind of new SS version...
Not crazy long (definitely < 10 min). IDK, it never bugged me when it was cold outside (I only vape outdoors), but it feels like it gets kinda warm by the end when it's > 80F outside. Maybe I just have sensitive lips?
Confidential to all Venty owners (at least US-based), VGoodiEZ is now stocking 8mm adapters: https://vgoodiez.com/collections/vgoodiez/products/venty-8mm-stem-adapter-by-vgoodiez-ven-12
My main complaint with the Venty is that the stock mouthpiece (or the glass mouthpiece, for that matter) gets...
Will the Reload discount apply to people purchasing the upgrade kit as well?
Unrelated: the Forge + Tempest combo is pretty nuts. I've seen the induction layer briefly glow when I pull it out.
I disassemble and soak in ethanol, using a cotton swab to scrub off visible buildup on any surfaces.
I've also noticed there's a tradeoff between using the coarser and finer screens at the base of the CU; the coarser screen lets more into the CU (so the CU itself clogs up more quickly), while...
I think the main thing is to make sure you've got a loose, even distribution of material so you're not creating any channels for hot air to funnel through (or blockages that it can't get through).
I've only done Tempest and Anvil (still waiting for the TA4 to become available in the US), and I get the beeping noise you described using the Tempest and nothing audible (at least not audible over the symphony of air conditioners, traffic, and construction) using the Tempest.
I'll need to...
Induction heater by Battery Free Ganz (BFG), maker of the Dani TED
I have a little of this, too, and I'm pretty sure it's due to tiny amounts of vapor condensation
The Rogue Wax Works has some longer cooling spirals with an extra bit jutting out at the end - look for the E models - available from his site or from vgoodiez; those might help reduce the sliding around.
There are going to be some variables that are hard to predict, like coil positioning on your wand, that could potentially impact performance, but I'd say the first two things to play with are timing and your draw technique. If you have a working VI (I want to say most of the pre-release units...
