I picked up a Dovetail Woodworks XL stem + MP that I added an XL condenser and TRWW EXL intercooler to, and it seems to handle the heat pretty well (TA4 at 650°F on the Wand until time over / yellow light off). Wooden vortex wasn't cutting it.
I took the head apart last night so I could torch the tips of the VI a little, and after reassembling I found that the VI was running much more smoothly. Not sure if I somehow got everything better aligned, if I unwittingly torched off some gunk that was making it stick, or if the fifth time's...
The firmware on mine just updated this morning after not giving me the prompt for a few days (this morning was the first time the update prompt appeared when I connected via the web app on my phone). I'd previously tried rebooting the device and my phone as well as connecting via a browser using...
I think I went with (and love) the Venty for logistical reasons: it's super easy to use, there's no glass to carry around, and it's foolproof for sharing. I'll (almost) always go Tempest / TA / Tornado at home by myself, but Venty wins the reach test 100% of the time away from home or passing...
x-post from the Vestratto Discord:
Not sure if this has been posted already (this channel is moving crazy fast), does anyone have dimensions for the head of the Tornado (oven with bowl screwed in)? I want to get a scruffywoofers stand made for it, and I couldn't find specs on the Vestratto...
My Forge beeps with both Tempest and Tornado (thus far I've only done a couple of burn-off heatings with the latter).
Is anyone else dumb enough to try it on the Anvil stem, or am I the only one considering it? I don't love having glass out on my patio (stone pavers).
I'd swapped out 2.5mm zirc balls for a mix of 3mm zirc and SiC a bit ago, and I hadn't cleaned the zirc balls I took out of the head. I just torched them in a mesh tea strainer (alternating between opening it to torch, then closing to shake and bring the un-torched balls to the top). It worked...
Mine's quite even and has held up great. Mild color changes on the part nearest the tip with repeated Wand and Forge heatings, but I think you'll see that with any color.
I like the Air Vape Legacy Pro capsules. I want to say they're gold-coated SS? They're nicely put together and a little wider and shorter than S&B (or third-party upgrade versions), so I don't think they even touch the bottom of the bowl. They can get kinda stuck if you let the ceramic get...
Good question...I like the 3TM but tend to use it less because it never goes anywhere with me.
I'm hoping to make it my go-to with the Thermal Accumulator once the TA4 becomes available on VGoodiEZ.
Congrats on the product launch, and congrats to the many people who are going to get to try the Tempest for the first time! There's a learning curve, but it's 100% worth experimenting and dialing in the experience; this is my hands-down favorite for solo use and produces the coolest, tastiest...
Some kind of unbreakable (ideally dry) cooling piece might have a decent market. Apparently the Vestratto Tornado is meant to be used through a bong or rig rather than natively. I mostly vape on my back patio (which is a mix of concrete and stone pavers), and not having to worry about breaking a...
Do you have access to 95% ethanol (sometimes labeled 190 proof moonshine or white whiskey in liquor stores)? You could use that as a cleaner and then make a sublingual tincture or something.
I feel like there's a broad misunderstanding about makers vs. retailers and small vs. large companies...
I don't think I ever counted number of bowls using the Wand, and I usually switch back and forth between the Anvil and Tempest. The Forge can get more clicks per battery charge, but it depends on what size battery. I think I got something like 24 hits off a 2.5 Ah and 55 off a 5 Ah. The Forge...
