My order status is confirmed as of six days ago but not yet shipped. I think I was one of the earlier Tornado bricks. I've been enjoying the Tornado and Tempest quite a bit using the Wand, but I'm excited to revisit the Forge once they ship out!
PSA to Forge owners, I got an email earlier in the week that my replacement unit will ship in the next week or two. I had one of the bricked units, maybe the second or so to brick, and I sent my unit back in November or December.
I don't mind heating the Tornado without an adapter, but I prefer to heat the Tempest with an adapter, and I don't love having to mess with the adapter reach time I switch devices.
The Tornado does not fit with any glass Wand adapter that I have (or, more accurately, you can fit it in cold, and it gets stuck when it heats up). Has anyone found a glass cup that's large enough for the Tornado (but can still fit into the Wand)?
I don't necessarily trust the silicone DV...
It turns out that this TM2 WPA (link) is a perfect fit for the TP80 if you put it in WPA-side first.
Unfortunately, I kinda feel like I have yet to get the TP80 to really work for me. Every so often I'll get inspired to try it again, but I keep getting mediocre vapor that's harsher and hotter...
I highly recommend the Venty adapter from Simrell Collection (link), which is currently sold out, or VGoodiEZ (link); you may have to mess with the o-rings a little to get a good fit (I swapped mine out for 5.5x1mm FKM from oringsandmore), but you can use any 8mm stem with it. There's also a...
For anyone who likes dosing caps but doesn't like how stubbornly they stay in the chamber on account of the magnets, VGoodiEZ has Tinymight caps (sized identically to Rogue / Rogue 2) in Ti (link)
Pretty sure I've popped out and reinserted the screen for any deep cleanings. Can be flattened out by rolling over it with a Revolve Gen2 or grinder or whatever.
Loving the @ScruffyWoofers adapter & stand.
I've since switched to a Ti MVS. I haven't noticed the stem getting hot (heat seems...
I should point out that I've also only had positive experiences with Vestratto; I just wanted to contrast their value proposition (cutting-edge device development and the opportunity to be among the first to try them) vs. established retailers (CS, responsiveness, content generation for customer...
I say this throwing zero shade in any direction, but if you want prompt communication and customer service, you should wait until Sneaky Pete, Simrell, or another reputable retailer is stocking them. Vestratto is pretty amazing at developing some cutting-edge devices, but you're dealing with a...
My main gripe with PA dispensary weed is how ridiculously dry most of it is (not crumbly or anything, but brittle). Adding a moist hydro stone (or a shard from a terra cotta planter or whatever) for a few hours at a time (overnight at most) seems to work wonders. It feels like a cheat code for...
I think the installed battery is mostly an issue for the heaviest of heavy users, and based on my experience with the OG Rogue, I would think that this device probably isn't for them. This doesn't play in the same space as the TM or FW, and I think a heavy portable with swappable batteries or...
Intriguing, as the OG Rogue was my first device. Glad to hear that the draw is less restricted, which was one of my least favorite aspects of the original (and part of the reason I went with the Venty when my Rogue bricked on me).
Is the Rogue SE travel mouthpiece compatible with the Rogue 2...
I experimented with dosing capsules a while ago when someone asked about them and found that the VGoodiEZ (mesh) DV dosing caps were ok but not great in the Tempest; the machined (OEM / Ed's TNT) capsules restricted airflow through the cap, so you just end up sucking heated air through the gap...
I'm saying it's got a fairly powerful heater that keeps up with you as you draw on it, so it's moving a lot of heat through the material. Desktops usually go through water or a whip or whatever, and the longer / wetter airpath tends to remove some of the particulate matter from the aerosol...
Raw dog; I also use the Wand with the Tornado, which is too large for the Tempest adapter (which is the largest glass adapter I have). I haven't tried silicon because I'm afraid the TA would melt it, and I don't mind holding the Wand up so I can insert the head from below.
I'd say the tickle has more to do with it being a high-calorie vape with an open airflow that's not running through water and less to do with the materials used. The CU helps reduce this somewhat but doesn't eliminate it entirely. FWIW, I probably get more tickle (and better / less muted flavor)...
