The 7 temperature version can be switched into 4 temperature mode, where the three intermittent temperatures are switched off.
Not even remotely close to the most expensive option...which is the custom colors:
With the glass core I'd let it heat up with the lid off, then pop the lid on (w/ loaded basket in the flexicone) when it's ready to go. I honestly didn't even really check to see how warm the basket and its contents get if left sitting as it heats up. I assumed that hybrid heating is going to...
...if it is sitting there not doing anything, and you're not inhaling or pressing any buttons.
Otherwise, no, it doesn't just abruptly shut off after ten minutes.
If anything, performance with the AC puck is better (faster) than with the battery.
Don't use both at the same time! :myday:
And yes, give the glass core extra heat-soak time. Don't pay TOO much attention to the temperature light when it starts flashing after a long hit, either. Also: you really need a WPA and some kind of water piece to fully appreciate the glass core's scary...
Thery're not just some random reseller, they're minivap's official north american sales reps. They're not price-gougers. Also: I've had excellent service and fast, helpful email replies from 'em. Highly recommended.
When "teflon core" is selected on the minivap site:
Not affiliated with 'em in any way, just a satisfied customer....but it irks me to see someone suggesting that vaporific are gouging that much on the price. False, and verifiably so.
Wrong. That's the price for the glass core, which is less expensive.
Select the correct option from the drop down menu and the price will update to $419.67USD. As I said earlier...
How do you figure THAT??
A 4-temp teflon core is the same price on both sites.
Currency converter says $524.99 Canadian is the same as 370 Euros, give or take $1.
I had a good start to the day using it with some large EVO glass this morning.
I think it works better with smaller pieces that have more drag but this was fun!
I have a few heavy hitting vapes and the glass core mini hits as hard as any of 'em.
I love it so much that I got a 7-temp teflon core as well.
I just got it and haven't had time to really do an in-depth coparison between the two but my first imression is that it is a different beast...
The first time I tried the miniVAP on the "red" setting it made my eyes bug out like nothing else can. Well, maybe the sublimator, that's the only other device I've ever tried that made my cannabinoid receptors huddle together in confusion and disbelief like that.
Not something you "run out" of but if you plan on cloud chasin' at higher teperatures on a regular basis I really recommend you get the ac puck. Everything's faster.
no. you can change the ac puck for the battery, it works the same both ways. There's no "ac version" - just interchangeable battery or ac pucks.
it's a recent glass core. Yes, it heats up in 3 minutes but optimal thermal recovery happens after a heat soak. Hit it immediately after it "says" it...
you can't leave it on all day, it has a shut-off timer. One of its weaknesses, in my opinion. It goes into shut-off mode after 12 (I think?) minutes, but you want to let it heat-soak for a good ten minutes before using it for best performance. I've turned mine on, gone downstairs to make a...
The miniVAP wpa is a glass piece that slides through the lid opening and into the flexicone. It can be a little wobbly if you don't insert it correctly. If you're inverting it using this wpa I recommend supporting the mini with one hand.
It can also be inserted into the end of a flexicone+...
