You must have misread, this is nothing to do with charging. This is when I turn it on, the red light comes on to indicate heating but the temperature never rises. Shutting it off results in the flashing yellow and red lights and the message to return it to S&B in the app.

I'm afraid I didn't do the same tests with my old Mighty but my anecdotal evidence is that it does NOT last as long as it did before. I am fine with the performance and battery time of my new one, but it is less (again, not scientific.. just the feeling I have).
