no it doesnt. A freshly charged batteries on a 8 will see a lower voltage. When using a 4.2v battery under load it will supply 3.2v and just built its way back up when resistance changes. On a VV device it supplies 4.2v and 4.2v all the way through, so essentially just killing the coils faster.
