the 3.7v 1701 is a guideline, it will work with a 18650 battery or even the 18350 AW versions. The 1701 3.7v can be cranked up if using the black wick on top. with oil loaded. I would say test around 4.2v-5.5v range and see how it does.

Dual coil or single coil? The power set up you have isnt going to make the dual coils glow at all. If its the dual Coil i would crank it up to 4.5-7.4v higher end meaning faster heat up.

@ragnorokk do this, take the ceramic wick from the 1701 and place it on top of your coils that should contain it, we are working on deeper dish coils and will let everyone know once they are ready.

What are you using to measure ? And are you measuring cold? Just a quick thought has anyone taken the black wick from the 1701 and added it to the dual or single coil in the kiss alpha for extra oil storage?

does your top have the self adjusting center pin? and what coil are you using that it blinks at what voltage?

if the tops dont have the self adjusting center pin then when screwing it in you cant screw it in all the way once you feel resistance you have to stop.
