see this is where the issue is, the non V4 tops have a bad low voltage circuit. Meaning the V4 tops are way better to handle the .6 ohm loads the kiss alphas need to get up and go.

We have tested the dual coil on the minicron lites they work, could it be your not loading enough to cover both coils?

the Dual coils work best on the 8, as for the Persei they need fresh charged batteries. These things require serious amount of power at first to start going. There might be planned, but you can always use the 1701 as a single coil rebuild, we just need time to work on other things for the Kiss...

you sure it wont fire or it wont glow? Can you try that coil screwed in to the head of the unit? Yes screw the coil directly into top of the unit.
