Yeah I've checked. It has to be clean and shiny. No tarnish. The tarnish is bad. I have not had one long enough to tarnish. If doesn't shine I get a new one. If it is good enough for drinking water...
I agree the bender does offer crazy flavor but not a daily driver. I love my SR-71 but I have not tried flowers in it...then again I have not tried oil in my bender....hmmm.:brow:
I understand the dilemma. Choice is good for consumers and hard on inventory. From a consumer point of view, I would like to have been able to put together my own kit on the website with all of the options that I need. However I say that after I know what I know now. As a new customer...
3.7 KISS with the omicron is my daily driver. If you have 18650 battery. Or SS kit and 18350 battery 3.7 KISS will make you very happy.:ko:
If no warranty rebuild is cheap and easy.
I agree. I used a razor blade to cut off 1mm so that it is not so close to the heater.
You can see in the pic that I cut it to right where the 2 air cut outs begin. I had no overheating of plastic after this. It did not happen to mine, I cut it to prevent melting after seeing pics of melting ones.
Between @Vapvap 's video and the mini tutorial I posted 1-2 pages back it is very easy to rebuild this thing. But I would wait to see what @nao12000 and W9 may be able to do to help before tearing into it. I found the wire, not Ti but NiChrome, and the ceramic wicks online. You may be able to...
This is why I use a copper tube. 3/4"x13" plus 2 3/4" copper end caps, 4-5 screens (I use brass).
Drill small hole in one end cap sized for butane nozzle. Drill 3/8" hole in other end cap. Push screens into end cap with large hole. Place end cap with large hole on tube and tap on with a...
Funny, I threw away the first one that I burned out too. I forgot to change the voltage on The Core before letting it rip.:rip:  I ripped it apart to see what makes it tick, then tossed it.
So, I got my wire and ceramic wicks from KidneyPuncher.com today. First i must make it clear: THIS IS NOT A MOD. This is an experiment and I will be using this unit as a back-up only. I decided to try to rebuild my 7.4v KISS that died ( or more correctly, I killed it). For this experiment...
Well speaking for myself exclusively, I am NOT a low life, competitor, con artist, or internet troll.
I AM YOUR KEY DEMOGRAPHIC. I am the guy with extra disposable income to spend on this kind of product. And so far, I do not like what I see...
This is a response to @bholt the quote below contains the pictures I am referencing.
I don't think that anyone will readily agree with your safety dissertation after seeing the insides of the atty. I do not own one of these, and I suspect that after seeing the OP's pictures that I will not own...
Don't be scared! :) I have 3 KISS carts that still work great and I love them. I just have one that died and want to try to fix it. I am a tinkerer like that. If it breaks I want to fix it.:science: Unless of course there is some kind of warranty, then I leave it to the pros.
Well here's my :2c:. I like the previous poster's idea about the long drywall screw. If the screw is long enough you should be able to grab it with some pliers and pull it out of the end if well lubed. Maybe something to stab into it to keep it from spinning when trying to screw in. You may...
