yea i pulled the spring loaded bit out of the tube pulled out the extention arm and crimped the lower section i will say it makes putting it back in the tube alot tighter but it worked

If neither of those methods work I pulled the spring loaded pin out and crimped it fully extended with pliers so it can't retract that worked pretty well until I got my replacement

@Frederick McGuire have you considered making your own ? depending on the cost of dry herb and 190proof or higher alcohol you could potentially make your own much cheaper
