@coffinoff It is possible to have the screws in the bottom adaptor adjusted so that it shorts out. Your problem may be there. If you have access to a multimeter, fully assemble the Herc and test with a meter. Make sure it is not a dead short. @mixchu69 KISS is load as you go.

That is a strange problem indeed. I never leave anything plugged in to the Core so maybe I haven't seen this issue myself. Looks like I need to do some science-ing to see if mine does that.

@DaNi_DuB try plugging your Persei intro the Core without a cart attached. Then test the top with a meter to see if you have voltage at the contacts for the top with and without the button pressed.
