    Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud

It wouldn't. If you have pre-ordered, I strongly suggest contacting Troi or SM directly. I hadn't remembered that, as vape4life posted, VXL had previously stated that the store was for USA only for now. While international orders have been fulfilled, IIRC those orders have needed...

    Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud

Note that I qualified that statement with "looks like . . . ". I haven't seen any official announcement to that effect by VXL. I inferred it from the changes to the website.

    You'll pay an additional $50.

    Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud

There have indeed been some important changes. * The Cloud + HT package is now $499. * Pre-ordering is done, now it is traditional order entry. * There are 2 HT's avail now, both are "Evolvers" - one is a circ, the other a tree. Is "Evolver" is brand? Or does it refer to a particular style...

    Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud

I'm still at the back of the class when it comes to glass. What exactly is the "back flow" you are referring to with the HT? All the HT's?

    Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud

Yes, on both sides of the shield within ~1" above and below the screws, IIRC in the center. The screws were ~2 degrees hotter. I took a previous set of measurements too, fwiw: http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/vapexhale-cloud.5247/page-87#post-218376 Given variables, I think +/-10F in...

    Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud

Earlier I took readings set on max, posted here: http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/vapexhale-cloud.5247/page-95#post-220243 There are other variables that could account for the difference in our readings, but I hesitate to speculate as thermal is outside my disciplines. A variation of...

    Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud

So adjusting for ambient, your shell temps are running ~10-15F higher than mine. I have no idea why. But fifteen degrees at this temp level can be a meaningful difference to the touch.

    The Extreme-Q Vaporizer

Yes, those questions are the key. The MSDS for the material I posted above (used btw in the fabrication of materials like the piece in question) are a useful reference point: "The material is not known to contain toxic chemicals", "none of which are known to be carcinogenic", and yet it "can...

    The Extreme-Q Vaporizer

Mica is a silicate based mineral material. When I worked in electronics manufacturing we used mica extensively as an insulation material. It is found in different mineral compositions and can be used in wide range of formations and applications. IIRC the only risk associated with it - a...

    Right. Thanks, it's clear now.

    The Extreme-Q Vaporizer

When you posted previously that the piece was "hidden even when you disassemble it to almost core", it was not clear to me how much difficulty or perhaps risk there is to break the unit down that far. I thought it best to be sure before I opened it up for the first time. Thanks for the vid...

    The Extreme-Q Vaporizer

Seek, and your advice re the risk of a user breaking the unit down far enough to find the piece? By the way, totally off topic, my son was in Prague last week, his first visit. He absolutely loved the city and people.

    The Extreme-Q Vaporizer

That's a plausible explanation. I think however that it is equally plausible that there is a malfunction elsewhere raising the heat level at this location to the melting point. We can speculate, but IMO we don't have enough data to know what Arizer engineers did or did not think. Before...

    The Extreme-Q Vaporizer

Or . . . perhaps the issue is not the plastic piece itself, but rather something gone wrong that is causing undue heat to be directed to and/or captured and held in that area. If this were a fundamental engineering flaw causing the same result for thousands of users, it's hard to imagine how the...

    The Extreme-Q Vaporizer

I would be very surprised if Arizer is monitoring this thread. @peterchen, with thousands of units in use for years, this issue must have come up before. For sure you have a very valid concern, but I would keep my powder dry for the moment. Send an email to service@arizer.com. Kevin & Steve...

    Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud

Interesting data, Stu. Fwiw, my readings at 1 hour set on noon were ~115-120F for the casing. On 5 o'clock at 1 hour, ~120-130F. (Ambient was 75F, so a 5F differential there.)

    Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud

I've heard of short-term memory loss, but this (i.e., myself) is ridiculous . . . hell, you posted all that just this morning and I neglected to point to it. And it's great that you did that, because it is really difficult sorting out the HT info. jambandphan03, btw, I neglected to mention...

    Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud

Oh my, how to keep this from being really long? It's probably pointless to revisit all the changes in the HT saga. Short version: VXL has and is using outside glass shops plus now having an in-house capability. VXL will also apparently entertain custom requests. The website shows a Vertigo...

    Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud

This - small variations in the size of the orifice - is consistent with what I've learned about the Cloud's design from SM. Thanks for the elaboration. I don't remember your earlier post about this, I was ref'g to a post I made, again based on discussion with SM. VXL attributes the extraction...
