PBW & the Chemistry of Clean

So hydrochloric acid will not etch the glass? I've got a ~1/4" greyish ring at the water line in my Mobius. The piece was used for combustion, but this doesn't look like resin. Multiple PBW washes do nothing. Full-strength CLR does nothing. I can't determine whether I need to go alkali or...

    Mobius Glass

Thanks for the thanks. :) They're not exactly the same. It depends a bit on whether there is water in them or not, and the can style. My Reti has a 3.5" base with a flare at the bottom of the can, it takes more water (5 oz) than the new style which also has a little narrower 3" base. Still, in...

91%. + lots of elbow-grease and many q-tips: No cigar. There is baked, and then there is Cloud baked. :D

    The Extreme-Q Vaporizer

Sounds like you're struggling with that second o-ring. You should try it with arthritis in your fingers. I have used a twist-tie instead and it's worked just fine - just make sure it's tight. Yes there is a Fahrenheit option. Page 2 of the manual. Under the Menu button on the panel...

    Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud

Inside the joint right below its lip, resin from the ELB accumulates and can eventually get very baked on. At that point, it can be very difficult to remove. Like t-dub, I use ISO to regularly clean the entire inside of the joint down to the aperture, paying extra attention to the resin ring...

Whip Tubing - All Your Questions Answered!

Looked at the Tygon again and see that my prev post was incorrect re it costing less than the Amazon. It was less last time I looked, only a couple months ago, too. The 5/16" x 7/16" x 1/16" here . . . http://www.usplastic.com/catalog/item.aspx?itemid=31571&catid=799 is what you would want...

AFAIK there is a "standard" height for office desks, which is what mine is.

Whip Tubing - All Your Questions Answered!

You can also get NSF-51 on Amazon. Little more expensive than U.S. Plastics, but shipping is cheaper. There is tubing sold that claims "food grade" or "medical grade", but you only can be sure by looking at its specification. Both that at Amazon and the Tygon, meet the spec.

    Mobius Glass

IIRC you've posted that height was important for you, so just fyi . . . the bubbler is a little over an inch shorter than the 60t. But it's mouthpiece stem has a steeper angle and a wider flare. With the 60t on a standard desk I need to sit tall and bend my head down to the mouthpiece, while...

Yea, I didn't mean to imply the CloudBuddy is needed. Actually it's more stable sitting directly atop. Puts the Cloud a little too close to my schnoz though, hence the CB. :)

My Mobius quest . . . Clear Reti, Ion Matrix, Clear Matrix, 60t These are all really wonderful pieces. Each is unique. I'm in love. The 60t with that stereo matrix is a work of art, very sleek. Extremely smooth action, great stacking, perfect can size. But there is a little drag...

    Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud

That's a good point. I think I'll use Dawn with hot water out of the tap. I am not immediately brushing out the ELB's. I'm not positive yet, but it is seeming that the brushes do a better job after the ELB cools. Don't see any indication of . . . goo.

    The Extreme-Q Vaporizer

Yes, assuming you have the warranty. As harmudge said, it is strongly recommended to read thru this thread, daunting as that is. It's the only way to know how to get the most out of your machine. Going in, hmmm . . . Start at ~160C and work your way up to find your sweet spot(s) Start...

    The Extreme-Q Vaporizer

To be more clear, I probably should have said "replaced" rather than "changed". As I recall, I used a box vapor type bowl with a female joint like the cyclone. (Sorry, can't remember exactly which but I bought it online from one of the major vape etailers.) Thick milky hits @200C...
