Does Cannabis mess with our natural “normal” brain rewarding system?

fewer cannabinoid receptors almost certainly translates into less effects from similar dosages, i.e. tolerance, but this is pretty recent research, so I imagine further research will clarify things. how long a tolerance break people need will depend on how high their tolerance was to begin...

Does Cannabis mess with our natural “normal” brain rewarding system?

I'm pretty sure I heard about this here: https://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/video/the-cannabis-question/ (btw: my understanding is that there are cannabinoid receptors all over the body, not just in the brain)

Does Cannabis mess with our natural “normal” brain rewarding system?

I watched a Nova/PBS program about cannabis a while back, seem to recall it saying the opposite, that cannabis use lowers the number of cannabinoid receptors (and that the number goes back up when cannabis use goes down). this makes sense to me: if there's an artificially high quantity of...

    Moderation and sleep quality

sorry about your sleep issue! when patients tell doctors about symptoms they have, doctors usually ask if there've been lifestyle changes. you noticed a correlation between cannabis and sleep issues, and, given that it's the main change in your lifestyle, it's probably causation. it may not be...

Does Cannabis mess with our natural “normal” brain rewarding system?

I think the reason you'd 'rather do them (activites) while high' has to do with the endocannabinoid system. put simply, your body's ability to create endocannabinoids (which make you feel happier) gets lazy if you're regularly dosing yourself with cannabinoids (THC). my understanding of the...

how do you know if concentrates from dispensaries are well made?

herbicides, fungicides - that sort of thing?

how do you know if concentrates from dispensaries are well made?

agreed. as I mentioned in my OP, washington's oversight of testing labs is (last I heard) pretty bad, so whatever bad behavior exists on the part of growers would affect concentrates proportionately, i.e. we're in a 'caveat emptor' situation here, which is why I'm wondering if there's any way...

how do you know if concentrates from dispensaries are well made?

thanks! this had occurred to me as a possibility - I'll give a try.

how do you know if concentrates from dispensaries are well made?

I'm in a legal state, but the quality control and lab oversight is supposedly pretty lax. is there any way to determine if butane has been properly purged from wax? people say to avoid darker wax, which is easy enough, and I have yet to encounter wax - even cheapo stuff - that doesn't taste good...

Looking for vaporiser for bubble hash

I vape bubble hash in my mighty all the time (I put it under a liquid pad); it works great, makes cool, tasty vapor at low temps or big clouds at higher ones. fwiw: I've vaped hash in a dynavap, enjoyed it, but can't say I ever really mastered it - the results were unpredictable.

    POTV Lobo

Troy and Jerry were both coughing quite a bit in the video, even when the clouds weren't especially big. Jerry says he prefers the longer stem with the globe in it for dry use. makes sense to me: short vapor path + 'heavy hitter' = higher (sic) likelihood of coughing. Jerry says you can get the...

US dept. of HHS recommends DEA list cannabis as 'schedule III' instead of 'schedule I' (DEA review will take 'months')

The Department of Health and Human Services has recommended to the Drug Enforcement Administration that marijuana be reclassified as a lower-risk, Schedule III controlled substance, according to a person familiar with the recommendation who spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were...

OG Mighty question: can I use a US charger on a EU model?

agreed. good customer service/tech support is a rare thing these days (I assume they mostly read from company-supplied scripts), so I'm not surprised.

OG Mighty question: can I use a US charger on a EU model?

S&B support says using a US charger on a EU model will void the warranty if something happens. I find it pretty unlikely the models are different (chargers excepted), but they didn't address that.

are the two models the same other than the included charger? thanks!

    Which is the best ?

I've been a mighty owner for 7+ years, have had a few other vapes but none came close to ticking all the boxes like the mighty. I'm sure I could get somewhat better flavor (at least from the first few hits) from an all-convection vape like the TM, but I'm happy with the flavor from the mighty...

The Mighty/Mighty+ by Storz & Bickel

I've had mine 7.5 years, still get 2-3 sessions from each charge, but I only use it ~1-2x/week.

    A mighty old dilemma!

I've had a mighty for 7+ years, love it. battery life depends on frequency of use. cleaning's no big deal. disassembling it to clean the inner works is not something I've ever tried (mine still works great, even after using concentrates that have undoubtedly oozed down into the works). the TM...
