No experience with this stem, but can vouch for the guy who made it. He modded a dynavap omni tip for me, did a beautiful job. I made my own version by just filling one of the standard RBT stems with boro balls, and putting a rimless basket screen upside down over them to hold them in.

Please consider reviving the original black stems, too. They are so elegant, and I've always regretted I got the short one instead of the long one

I've gotten in the habit of holding my AVLP upside down, door towards the floor, on the theory that resin will tend to collect more on the microdose disc that way, rather than on or under the oven floor. Can't say whether it works, but gives me peace of mind 😉

Agree, the slot was good for that. I'm just turning the ALP upside down to open, so the capsule comes out balanced on the microdosing disc. No prying required. From there, I can tip it off onto a tray to cool enough to handle. For out and about, it does mean i'll need something to pick up the...
