That part you see is what the magnet is supposed to be sticking to. It's a metal disc so there is no glue needed. Check the cap or anything else that is magnetic friendlier than the disc and might have touched it.

    The "Project" DIY Herbal Vaporizer

Good find if one will fit. Here is the link to the PEEK ones I ended up using. https://www.fasttech.com/p/8392100 Discontinued now. :( I think the only way to be sure would be to order what looks right to try. Yes, the driver and circuits are the same for the HS and Brute. The only thing I can think of is the tolerances of the internal resistance within the batteries. For giggles, swap the batteries between the two units. :science:

    510 DIY dry herb vape

I agree wholeheartedly with these DIY adventures. The 510 mods are the best. End of story. However, I honestly gave up on using TC with my Project. I've tried many mods and some work OK but find myself always fiddling. I love my latest mod which is a Vapefly Brunhilde SBS. The widest 25mm SBS I...

I use JB-QuickWeld. It is not conductive at all. The USB connectors are already mounted and functional as the epoxy just adds additional reinforcement to help with minor abuse in plugging in the USB cable. If the connector comes off, it cannot be easily put back on as the solder pads are very...

This is an easy fix. It can be moved vertically a tad by opening the bottom and push against the battery. If it needs to be lowered, push against the magnet. Do not try and push the connector itself through the hole as it will break off the board. It cannot be moved horizontally but I had...

Give the magnetic clasp a try. I thought about them but remembered that magnets lose their hold when they get hot so I did not even try. I was envisioning it charging until the connector got hot and drop off. ..? Never know. :science:

That's an interesting idea but I think once the preferred heat is set up, you will likely never use the switch. The current isn't a huge issue as it will never be switched while the current is flowing, thus protecting the contacts from arcs. A 2-3 amp hard switch should be fine. The switch...

The wooden disc is the “heatshield” which can double as a spacer and the heat-resistant rubber cushion is a “friction pad” which is attached to the underside of the heatshield to keep it from falling out of the tube if inverted. The pad is affixed offset to the disc so some protrudes along the...
