I know that this is a little off topic but anyone using a Wand will need batteries. FYI, Molicel P28 and P30s are both on sale for $3.99 right now at imrbatteries.com . Looks like it's time to try out the P30s.

To keep it relevant to the thread, is there a set of batteries that are typically considered to work better for the Tempest in the Wand? I have a pair of both batteries, which get rotated along with the original Ispire batteries, and never considered to see if I could find a performance difference between any of them.

ThisIsMyVapestick,
are we supposed to be able to keep the airport closed through rotating and screwing in mouthpiece and base the right amounts to keep it there? just trying to figure out what adjustability is available vs v1

tempest v2 arrived today. I'd agree that it went through customs super fast. Less than a week from uk to PA! I Have only had 1 bowl so far, but loving the looks and the open airflow. I was a little confused on what the Cresent moon shaped plastic thing was for. Is it part of the wand adapter? I think the v1 stem is still going to be king when it comes to cooling natively. Pumped to start messing around with this v2! Thanks Brenyo!

so V1 is much cooler than V2 eh?

It's much simpler, the airflow adjustment is on the condenser and is adjustable by turning the heat shield, then the mouthpiece is tightened against the heat shield and it stays wherever it's been set, or you can leave it open and use your finger to cover as needed. It doesn't work loose or anything like that.
There's still airflow adjustment in the head too.

It's for helping to set the screen to the 0.1g, and 0.15g bowl, if you take off the heat shield you'll see two notches on the condenser next to the mouthpiece threads, if you slot that disc into a notch, you can use the condenser to push the screen down, and the disc will stop the screen from being pushed too far.
Notch closest to thread will be the 0.1g setting.

The T2 does an amazing job at cooling given how open it is, but some will find the previous stems to work better, I prefer the T1 personally.

i feel like that will be the case with me too. seems hard to top the v1 cooling. do you enjoy the v1 stem with v2 head? i’m hoping i like that combo because i am looking for maximum cooling and efficiency

You have to hold to top part of the condenser (where the bowl goes in, widest part) while rotating the heat shield and adjusting to your desired airport setting. Then you screw in the mouthpiece while holding your setting until it is fixed.

EDIT: testing the "joint-like" setting, last about a minute of slow puffing, fun and sloooow:

Cooling wise, I think it's going to depend on how you had your V1 set up.

I have direct tube with bypass on my V1. I'm actually finding the T2 cooler when doing MTL and DTL. I did 0.15 on T2, and half bowl on V1 last night, and the big bowl felt more smooth

Yeah I prefer using the T1 stem, especially for chaining bowls, a week ago I would have said that I'd end up moving to it permanently once I'd had a good go with the new stem but I'm not so sure now.
The new stem does cool things down significantly so still reduces any irritation for me, and because the new head works/extracts so well, I'm not having as many bowls, so the irritation is also lowered there, I can manage a couple of bowls at a time with the new stem, and that's more than enough for me.
As a package the stem and head work really well together.

oh the head was harder to adjust than v1 just got it

You have to unscrew the top screw a bit so that you can normally adjust the air intake on the head, don't force it!

Does anyone have advice one heating up the Tempest 2 in flower mode? I am doing 2 leaves right now.
I thought that you were in the wrong thread then remembered that wands have 2 modes, you mean that?
As far as I know it should be in oil mode (because it outputs more power or smth like that).

The mp acts like a lock for whatever air setting you set it to. I prefer this over the T1. It's a nice feeling having everything locked in, as I only tend to change airflow when I change other things like bowl size, tip airflow, WPA mode etc.

I did some testing with the 3mm SiC balls but changed back to the default 3mm Zirc after some bowls. I think the better flavour and that they keep the heat a little bit longer is worth it. Im using it natively. Just wonder how the rubys will perform.
Do we know when we get the new manual?

this is the best we got so far, hope it will come with the official release in June.
