Vaphit Quartz Cap -

do you find the qoq any better at microdosing than the vaphit x? or taste significantly better? i use the x with a hula stem all the time, i like it so much i have been wondering recently whether i should not also give the qcq a chance - but i am not all that clear on the advantages vs the x..
I didn't want the X stem, so bought just the tip & caps. Thought that maybe the o-rings would be less of a hassle but nope. I now keep the tip as a spare one for a DV cap, works just fine...

I really enjoy toking on the QOQ, not messing with o-rings, and find the design quite elegant. But if you are happy with the X, I don't think the QOQ is going to serve you any better in terms of performance, plus it is a lot more delicate and isn't great for on-the-go.

Both are equally nice for microdosing. IMHO the taste with the qoq versus the complete X is a tad better and the complete glass made it easier to control the toasting of your material.
But as other stated: its fragile and not necessarily for otg.
The tip fits the fusion 2.0 stem (although not perfect).
So if you like the X and really want to still your vas for a relatively small amount of money, go for it, else its a niche thing.

Both can microdose as well as each other IMO. Another slightly annoying thing about the QOQ is the screen holes are too big so I find flakes come through unless a course grind. The cooling spiral is really nice though.
This is really annoying, therefore I use a screen from the X under the glass screen, which prevents 99% of material going trough.

Can someone with a QOC tell me the diameter of the spiral. I really want to try a spiral for cooling and this is alot cheaper than a Revolve, even though I also really wanted that mouthpiece on the Revolve too. But I think the QOC is gonna be too big to fit inside anything. Thanks.

One side is about 12.3mm in diameter, the other side is more elliptical: 11.6 to 12mm.
One side fits the Angus Enchanced, the other side not. Due to being (probably) handmade, those sizes may vary from stem to stem.

Mine is also about 12.3 but on both sides. Not perfectly round as this varies slightly, but it fits perfectly into my Lobo.

Thanks guys, appreciate it. Yup, too big for anything I want it for. Had hopes of maybe putting it into my Couch Log stem too. Not sure what other types of similar style vapes you have, and the corresponding cooling for them.........but how do these big spirals like on the QOC and the Tempest do for cooling and restriction?

Edit: Never mind guys, I'm gonna figure out a way to DIY something crude up.

Anyone already tried the new Vaphit HX? Lacentrale currently sells it for 43€ and it seems, that it works as an adapter from the dyna-style tip from the X to the helix stem already known and loved from the QOQ.

this is what i still do for the vaphit x, except i stopped counting. the flame changeing color is a pretty good indication.
i have not tried the og vaphit, but glass is only a little bit thicker with the x so should be pretty much the same.
i never tried with a soft flame, and i doubt it is a good idea, at least with a regular lighter. enjoy your vaphit!

I received mine three days ago. I don't own a dynavap but the Convector XL chamber and the Katalyzer Aeroclic (for Dynavap) stem fit right in.
The helix stem is a beauty and works well but even with half a bowl the Aeroclic is more effective for me.
Most of the time the cap can be removed immediately or in < 1 minute and I appreciate being able to see the AVP without the need to remove the cap.
Tasty vapor, too.

Honestly I didn't expect much when I ordered it. I rather saw it as a budget friendly opportunity to learn more about TEDs but this device hits me hard with ~0.05g. Hopefully it won't wear off.

This thing-the og, I think hits me harder then any other vapes i have even dynavap and fmj 1 hit, and for sure more then 3 mid portables at highest temp,
Giving me not a headache but head pain/pressure or something, i might be wrong but the type of head hurt from too high, and relatively short after im just very high,
For sure find bigger flame is nicer for 1- 3 hits,
Soft flame Works ok best if bigger, with 2 or 3 wicks in any oil/wax,
Personal shout out to an alcohol burner i finally!! Got one and love it and wish i did earlier,
For me personally there are times i need candle form and a soot hellish soft flame candle/lamp oil wick has been the way, but now the alcohol lamp is awesome a candle but a torch flame, quick and no soot (and quite too)
The vaphit for sure can go lower and smaller hits, but can say for me at least for now a few weeks, it comes out when im looking for and brings that weekend punch, that get her did, that crazy cough and forgive me but that clear flem hack up...

$25 local in a 3rd-6th world country online received in a day, very nice (borat voice)

Can still edit an hour and half later..

Side note about roffu..
Just found out the vaphit og small glass stems mouth piece fits in the grommet of the mouth piece, so my main problem with the roffus mouth piece is it gets to hot to keep using, so i can technically plop off the top, if too hot, to cool for a few and use the vaphit glass stem (i have a wpa setup but its diy too, so if just for a few minutes this could be easier lets see, anways cool it fits its such a small hole)

yeah, i remember using an alcohol burner when i first got a dynavap, and really enjoyed its pace & aesthetic much more than the jetflame. i'll try this too :)

I had mine for two weeks, but unfortunately it didn't hit me like the other Vaphit products I've been using. I've yet to find the technique to master the HX. Then again it was cheap and came with the screen tool and those silicone thingis for hot caps.
The Dani Fusion 2 Metal stem fits the adapter part.

So for now, the X with the thicker glad and 1.5mm holes ist the best overall cape for me, the helix stem (although broken) beats even the aeroclic, the QOW has a really nice flavour but has its own issues with small weed particles everywhere and the HX has yet to be mastered.

One of these is inbound, but I hesitated, not on the price, but unsure if this product is seen as, well, an overseas copy of an American product.

I'm uncertain about the total history of TEDs though. It may be this idea has been chewed on for a while. First Dynavap-style I saw, I wondered if its mother and father were a cartridge case and an old school one hitter, lol. The quartz cap has me interested, though.
